Mission Space

I'm going to Florida, and can go to EPCOT like the 28th. I know that the grand opening of Mission Space is 8/15, but when is the soft opening going to be? I was just at EPCOT in April and i remember it being tested, and talk of a soft opening in Late July. So when's the soft opening?
The soft-opening was scheduled to begin on Aug. 15, but the ride has been testing at half-capacity for quite some time now.

Traditionally, it's been opening after 4. However, Annual Passholders were sent invitations for a preview on Aug. 1-3, so they may take the ride down for the preceding days to make sure it's good to go for those previews.

Who knows? Good luck. I'm hoping to get good luck when I'm there in late August.

What do I Listen-To?
I waited for 7.5 hours through four tornado warnings and all I have to show for it is this lousy kiddie coaster credit.

I have a similar issue. We will have two days in Disney (July 21-22), and would only find it worthwile to go to Epcot (we like it, but prefer the others usually) if Mission Space was operating. While we still would enjoy our visit if it wasn't, I was wondering if anybody could tell me how *often* is opens up to the public, so we could make our decision on wheather to visit.

Thanks in advance,

Ben

Ben! No! Make sure you go to EPCOT! Last time I was at Disney, I found EPCOT the most interesting and fun out of all of the areas! You don't need to spend a whole day there, just get a feel for the area.

Edit: I see you've been before. Oh well, it's your choice! I still think you should go, though. ;)

While I enjoy Epcot, every time I think about going for the third time a little man in my head summons me toward Tower of Terror (I have only been once). However, even though I find most of the rides at Epcot mediocre, I now am considering going, as I am starting to remember my good experiences there. And you know, a ride on Mission Space would be a great bonus. Still, does anyone know if it opens consistantly?

Does anyone think I have any chance on going on Mission Space when I go August 8-14?

Anorexia is phat!

I found Epcot a bore.... Thats because I onlygot to ride one ride... Mission:Space and I did have to wait 4 hours. grrr. stupid pre-opening date bugs. But if it is open definately ride this ride. It is by far the best 'flat' ride there has ever been invented. It is literally out of this world.

Dont plan your day on riding Mission: Space. If that is the only reason you whould come to Epcot and its before august 15th... (and you dont have an annual pass), dont even bother coming to Epcot.

That is a great ride - it may be the best park attraction there is. If Mission: Space comes anywhere near ToT's quality, it'll be worth the trip in itself.
