Miracle Strip at Pier Park will add rides next year

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

It has been seven years since the original Miracle Strip amusement park closed its doors for good, but for the last three years locals and visitors alike have been able enjoy a smaller version, with several of the original rides. Now they'll be able to enjoy a few more. Next spring, Miracle Strip at Pier Park will feature a total of seven rides and several attractions, including more of the originals from the old amusement park that first opened in 1963.

Just so you know the Starliner is onsite but not setup
NSBNO ?
Wish there was a way to help get it setup

Shame Miracle Strip's darkride was lost.

"Yes... well... VICTORY IS MINE!"

If / when Starliner is running, I'm sure it will boast a first in the world's records: First coaster to be moved and then returned to its original location...

Miracle Strip was fantastic - what a shame to have lost it. How cool it is that they're gradually trying to re-build the park so close to the original location - I wish the owners ALL the luck in the world.

As SLFAKE mentioned, it is pretty sad that the dark ride was lost - very much in the mold of the old Erieview ride that moved to Conneaut...

Do they have the room to install the Starliner? I was under the impression the new location for Miracle Strip wasn't that big of property.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

I saw a news report that the dark ride was purchased and moved to Oxford Alabama. The new owner bought the interior and vehicles of the ride and set it up to run in a local building during the Halloween season. The exterior of the ride was great-and it's also great that the ride itself is still around to enjoy.

I thought Starliner was at Legoland? Did they ship it back when Cypress closed?

Legoland decided that Starliner didn't fit into it's long term plans.
