"Millionaire" comes to Disney's California Adventure

Posted Friday, June 8, 2001 4:48 AM | Contributed by Jeff

Given the lackluster response to Disney's California Adventure, the park is adding a "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" show, where guests will actually be able to play the game on a similar set.

Regis not included.

Read the story from LA Times via The San Francisco Chronicle.

You can see 'construction' photos here; www.westcoaster.net I like the 'vertical construction has begun' comment :).

It is a shame that this park sucks so much, b/c Grizzly Run really is a world class ride!

ALl California Adventure needs is a couple new thrills. Heres some ideas from other Disney parks: Test Track (theme it to a state automobile testing site.. or something to that affect.)

A motion simulator similar to the ride MOM at Jordan's Furniture (theme it as a popular extreme sport in Cali a.k.a. Sky Diving, Knee Boarding, ect.)

any one else have a few ideas?

oh yea, they DO NOT need a Tower of terror. Maliboomer is simialr.. do they really need another ride based on S&S Space shot idea?

Animal Kingdom is pretty damn popular if you ask me. Number five park in the US, just under the other 3 Disney FL and Disneyland and much more popular than IOA. So how many E-Ticket attractions does DCA have now? 5 or 6? Not a bad park, just in need of expansion in the near future.

Danny, who thought DCA was great quality and poor quantity
