Millennium Force Boarding Pass - Kinda Cheap?

Is it just me or (for anyone that is going to MM when MF is not open) does anybody else think that the one time use boarding pass for MF is cheap? I mean, it could be for at least five rides or something. It's not like the MM goers would only go on MF if it WAS open.

I'm just finding that a bit cheap of Cedar Point, as I thought it was an unlimited pass or something. But I now read it's only good once... I'm wishing it would have been a greater amount. It'd only be fair to the MM goers for the inconvience of MF being down! And no, I cannot go on a different day (MM day). Tomorrow is the only day I can go, but I do appreciate the free VertioGO rides. :)

I personally think that giving everyone one free pass on MF is going a little overboard. It is not the park's fault that MF is closed. Plus, it is unfair for guests waiting in line for an hour or more to have a guest who gets to cut the line because the ride was not open during MM. Be glad with what you got.

Oh my goodness, how do you think that is cheap? They are letting you cut in front of an hour+ lines. At Six Flags you have to pay money...Other guests have to ride too....

Yeah, I guess you're right... but I'm saying maybe they should have one row blocked off for Millennium FastLane (oh God) people, just for a few weeks and tell the MM goers that the pass is good only on a few days.

Boo!  Hiss!

This goes to just prove that there are some folks out there that want, want, want and gimme, gimme gimme!
What is it that you do want Cedar Point to do for you, then?

I commend Cedar Point for going as far as they did for offering alternatives to the uncontrolable mishap that dampend Millennium Mania!  I'd travel the 200 miles for a free ride on Vertigo! any day.  What in the hell is so cheap about that???  There are 6 other fantastic rides that are being offered for this occasion!  Either go enjoy them, or just go in the corner and pout!

That'll be one less person in line for me.

Hmm.. well, as you can tell, I was grateful for the free VertiGO rides and I UNDERSTAND the reason why MF is down, but, well forget it... It's like trying to tell you guys why grammar and spelling isn't everything on a message board.

See you all at MM tomorrow.

Kind of cheap? What if you went to MM thsi year got one of these boarding passes and then went next year only one time and found the MF line two hours long. Wouldn't a much shorter wait bring a smile to your face knowing you have that pass? CP didn't have to do any of this..

Yeah... I guess your right, I guess I'm just spoiled by Fastlane at Six Flags. (He's spoiled by a Six Flags park?!).

Looks like I'll just have to deal with rides on my favorite coaster, Magnum. Sigh... :)

AMEN NEIL!!!!!!!!!!
I think Cedar Point is more than being fair, if Cedar Point had the option to have Millenium Force open, believe you me they would.  Lets look at what they are offering.....

1) Vertigo is open for free, not bad. 2) You are getting a boarding pass good for one use, O.K. 3) Blue Streak is open, Ho-Hum.

That isn't that bad, ya maybe they could have given 5 boarding passes good during different months during 2002, because you do get to ride the MF alot during MM.

What I find that is great is if you don't like the package now, Cedar Point will refund your money!  I would like to see SFWoa do something like that, they can't because all there rides break down.

Cedar Point takes great pride on operating all their rides and believe you me, Dick Kinzle isn't a happy camper when a ride is down.  That is why you see near 100% operational rides throughout the season, that is from open to close during the regular season.  I wonder what SFwoa operational rides are 70%???, enough said.

I am going next week to MM with our without MF.

Dude, they don't have to do anything, they could just run the four of them!  Well said Neil...

Ok. Let Be Ungrateful Why Don't We. The MF Free Boarding Pass was an "extra" thing the park did to help make up for the lack of MF. I think that the addition of Blue Streak and the free VertiGO ride were enough, and the MF Boardng Pass was a very nice surprise. I don't really understand why you think the park should give out "five free passes" to everyone. MM is not, at least to my understanding a HUGE attended event, so the 300-400 of us who will be thee tomorrow will be more than happy with our free VertiGO rides and one boarding pass..

Mikey

I have to agree with the original poster this is a special extra charge event caled MILLENNIUM Mania. The entire purpose of the event is ERT like conditions on a ride which usually has quite a long wait. I could have ridden MF many many times. So one pass doesn't cut it.
Adding Blue Streak means nothing, DUH, open another coaster because one goes down big deal.  Besides Blue Streak is practically a walkon EVERYDAY.
The free Vertigo rides were a nice touch but I would have preferred Millenium Force rides anyday so one pass still doesnt cut it. I am a coaster enthusiast not a air powered launch enthusiast.  As it turned out I couldn't peel myself away from Magnum long enough to take advantage of the freee vertigo rides.
Was i satisfied with my day at Magnum Mania today? YES!
Was I disappointed Millenium Force was not opened? HECK YES!
Come on people Cedar Point did the least they could do to try to placate people they by no means went "above and beyond" considering this was a PAY event starring Millennium Force. Some people need to stop worshipping at the altar of Cedar Point and do a reality check.

Some people just can't be pleased.  It's unfortunate.  If you're not happy with the compensation, don't go, and ask for your money back.

Thats weird, cause the days that I went to CP the line for it has been packed (Yes, the only days I can go are on the weekends)
Geez, what more do you want man, a FREE pass or something. I guess some people are ungrateful

For all of you argueing, quit complaining, and don't go.

$hit happens... keep in mind like others mentioned, your lucky MF hasn't closed down many other times for any reasons, just think about all the other rides people miss out on at other parks on a seasonal basis (1 group from England missed out on S:ros@SFDL they traveled all that way and they couldn't get a ride...)

It happens, and there isn't much you can do about it. Be glad you are getting what they are giving....

I agree... don't go. If you bought your tickets in advance, get your refund.

What is it with enthusiasts being crybabies lately?

Some people cant read apparently. I did enjoy my day, I am satisfied.  I'm just saying Cedar Point did the LEAST they could do and get away with it. Not some Holy wonderful, awesome thing.

And  to answer your question a I think a 5 time exit pass for MF would have been fair(instead of free vertigo rides, NO i don't expect CP to give away the store)  Still not as many as would've been possible at MM but a decent compromise.

Did those peeps form england travel to attend a special pay event called Superman Mania?

BTW, what exactly should I be grateful for?

Do you guys have any idea how disruptive exit passes are? They destroy the flow of things and cause people to practically get trampled coming up the exit. Nowhere was this more apparent to me than on the exit ramp for Nitro.

Please, G-Money. If Millennium Force being down has upset you that much why dont you complain to them about how UNFAIR you only got a cheap little one pass, as you put it. Get over it, cause we all have. The cable broken was uncontrollable.
