Migrating data?

How can I transfer my settings and data to another computer without loosing my progress???
Try copying all of your saved games to the other computer's saved games folder, then re-installing RCT and related programs. It also depends on if you have LL, CF, etc.

A bad day at Cedar Point is better than a good day at work.
I recently bought a newer, better computer and installed RCT on it.  I tried migrating all of my hard work in RCT over from the old computer.  No matter what I do, none of my scenarios show as being completed now on the new computer.  I e-mailed Tech Support and they told me that "unfortunately, all of the missions will have to be played again to be un-locked."    Arrrrgggghhh!  But I really want to play it on my new computer! Guess I will have to start over.  I have decided to download all the cheats and trainers I can find to use long enough to get me back to the point I was at.

In the meantime, I play Ultimate Ride and really like it.  A lot of people have bashed this game, but it is really not that bad.  Try adding your own music to ride to.  That really makes the coaster fun! I was just upgraded to Novice Imagineer.....woohoo!! (Hey...it's hard work getting there.)

http://www.westerndigital.com   I found very useful for this purpose. Or get Norton Ghost which is also great for migrating files from puter to puter. You can even dowload 1 file or a whole computer to your new computer with Norton Ghost.

One of the trainers available (look through the game sites in our sites section) will unlock the scenarios for you.

"As far as I can tell it doesn't matter who you are. If you can believe, there's something worth fighting for..." - Garbage, "Parade"

The way I've approached that is after winning every scenario, save the game in a "Won" directory.  I've migrated my RCT installation several times, and each time I copied the files in the "Won" directory to the "Save" folder of the new RCT installation before running it.  It's successfully restored my "already finished" scenarios every time.

Unfortunately that doesn't help people who haven't been doing that already...
