Midwest Tornadoes: Any parks?

I think most of the storms from Springfield and southward were pretty much limited to strong winds and hail. It did not amount to much. The cold front definately came through SW MO though, as the temperature has dropped considerably. I know for a fact that Branson was fine. They got the same type of problems that Springfield (where I life, just in case ya didn't know) had experienced. We had some very strong winds and a lot of lightning and hail. There was a pretty strong tornadic super-cell heading east-northeast at around 7:00 tonight (CDT) and for all I know those storms just died down. So I think for now, SW MO is in the clear for sever weather. For now.

P.S. I get that joke Jim. ;) It's so sad because it is true! No offense to those who live in a trailor home, they are very luxurous some times.

I am surprised no one has mentioned this but a Tornado hit Adventureland park the first year it was open in 1974. The park was to open in July of 1974 but a Tornado hit the park and delayed the opening till late August. Four years later they built the Tornado rollercoaster.

I don't think a tornado would ever hit SFSTL though because it is in a valley with large hills on just about every side of it. Tornadoes are so scary...

I wouldn't be so sure. I live about 50 miles south of Pittsburgh and about 5 years ago our area got hit with tornadoes. One traveled the entire length of Mnt.Washington and one hit about 15 miles north of were I live. We live in a very mountainous region and we've had tornadoes, so a tornado can hit anywhere.

My mind works in strange ways. Yeah with a chain driven lift hill and gravity.

Topography and terrain will not deter tornadoes. That's a myth, just like the 'tornadoes don't hit downtown areas,' etc. etc.

Is that a Q-bot in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
