Michigan's Adventure to get new Funnel Slide for '05

^^ ERT on it would be pretty tiresome trust me. I took part in some ERT on Tornado @ SFNE. Carry that heavy raft up the stairs 7 times in 45 minutes and you'll be pretty tired afterwards.

Well, here's to hoping they have the conveyor then!

personally i don't find that ride that exciting compared to normal tube or body slides, but that's just me.

they seem to be popping up everywhere.

I'm still itching to try one after my mishap @ PKI. I think we're on the downward slide of the golden age of coasterdom, and on the upward slide of the golden age of waterparkdom. And thats okay with me:).
SFDL_Dude, you obviously haven't been on Zinger. There is no way that you can get off that ride without having a huge smile on your face. The drop into the tube alone will scare the crap out of you ('specially if you are going in backwards).
I think MIA will most likley have a conveyor on their verion. The main reason there was a never a conveyor added to the family tube slide (mine shaft, mamoth river) was at the time the Jordons didnt have the money to add a conveyor and didnt find it neccisary to do so. When CF tookover they would have added conveyors but dot to the layour of the slide and how they are loacted on a large hill, would make a conveyor very hard to add, and extremly expensive. Im sure that Funnel of Fear will be complete with a conveyor belt. They already get enough complaints about the Mine Shaft and Mamoth River tubes enough as it is.
The ride is also extremly visualy appealing if you ask me. The back side is kinda ugly because of the supports but i think they can position it so its not as noticable as the inside of the slide which looks very appealing.
"at the time the Jordons didnt have the money to add a conveyor"
Completely false and why can't you spell our name right (Jourden) if you know so much about us.
Well with the addition of the Funnel of Fear (why couldn't it be called Fear Funnel, whatever) to MiA, I wonder if any of the other Waterparks in the chain will add one as well. I know earlier this summer there was talk of OoF adding a new slide. Also this would be a great addition for the Soak Cities in Cali.

Now if I could convince HFEC they need to add one to White Water in Branson. :)

This could possibly be the test "funnel" that CF is using to learn more about them, and see if they do wanna add to there other water parks. It will give them lots of good information, about its operations, its popularity, its impact on attendance, and how it will affect crowd control (where people tend to go to first when they enter a park, and where they spend there most time). Able to obtain data that they wouldn be able to get from the manufacturer or from parks not in the CF family. This would help CF so they can maximise off them to the greatest degree at their other water parks.
Well hopefully they will "test" them at more of their waterparks this year. ;)
