Michigan's Adventure Question(s)

The Camp is Schnepp-a-ho. I used to know the owners while I was in boy scouts.

I know that, It became a game between my brother and I as to a nickname, Shin-a-Poo was the name we ended up calling it :) (Actually pretty nice campground with a beach on the lake)

Didn't mean to bring this post back to life....well, maybe I did. ;) The college is Baker...and the Best Western in Grand Haven is very nice and relatively inexpensive for a tourist town. Lines will go relatively quickly...especially if the #1 crew is working Timbers...don't let a long queue frighten you...they can turn that queue in 20 minutes if it is out to the cattle line at the entrance.

My worst day fishing is better than my best day at work....
my worst day coastering is better than my best day fishing.

Baker, that's right. You know, its super interesting if you just go talk to one of the international employees.

You didn't go today! I decided to drop by afterall, but it was rollback speed anyway :(

It was awful, then the day ended even worse....they hold up every train looking for singles, and at the end the board op told me to go ahead, that I could fill up the train AND get my last ride with Jill.......I made SURE he knew I wanted to get the last ride with Jill. He said "fine". So I got on the next-to-last train, rode, and got kicked off when trying to ride with Jill....of course, in (all-too-familiar) CF fashion, the second op waited until he belted and checked laps, then said "you can't re-ride". When I told him the lead op said it was OK, he said "no it isn't". I wasn't going to argue and cause a scene, but the board op got REAL quiet all of a sudden. I left without causing a scene, but it certainly was a less-than-perfect ending to the day....4 trips on Timbers, 6-hour operating day, line-jumping schoolkids EVERYWHERE.....

In my book at least, "MiA ain't A-OK"....it seems that CP is the ONLY park that Cedar Fair operates "to specs"...

Gator - Check out my post in the "MIA Improved for 02?" thread for details on my awful day there. However its not the only CF park not making the grade...Knotts now holds the title of worst-operated park in So Cal.

I was there for the abomination that has become Knott's....(Nots)...I loved the park in Oct. '00, that place went downhill FAST....and HARD....DOWN.....horrible!

OTOH, it DID make me forget how bad MiA was...;)

Wolverine Wildcat may also have a long line. I waited (on a Saturday) this year for 85 mins!
Hey, does anyone know if there are any diso****s for MA right now? I'm going up saturday for the day. TIA!!!

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)
