Seriously, though... are they really charging 5 bucks for a bottle of Coke?
Of course not. Consider the source.
You were correct LG. Bottles of coke are $3.75. I went back and checked the machines again. I saw the $5.00 lable on the machine, and just assumed it was for coke. It's actually for an energy drink called No2. Something like that. Though also noticed that Orange Fanta pop was $3.75. and Mellow Yellow. Which I would never buy, even for 50 cents.
I didn't do it! I swear!!
Wow, that's pretty expensive for a No 2. Does that price at least include the cost of the toilet paper??
It's either NO2 or NOS. I don't drink the stuff, so don't ask me. Just reading what was on the can. But, I'm sure you will probably need toilet paper after drinking it SWS! LOL! Don't give them any ideas, they'll start putting coin slots in the bathrooms.
Speaking of which, years ago I was at the greyhound bus station in Lansing Michigan, and you had to pay 25 cents to use the toilet, and half the coin slots were broken. Almost did a #2 in my pants waiting for someone to come with a key, so I could use the toilet.
God that was hell.
I didn't do it! I swear!!
Thank you so much for that last factoid, T-R. I can rest easy now.

Just like the other thread, this simply cannot be overstated.

Kings Dominion is also $3.99, though I got one for $1.58. I'm not sure what happened, but I'm inclined to believe it was because I'm so good-looking.
The park was just trying to accommodate you. As you approached the stand, the employee thought, "This dude looks very frugal. Give him the low rate." ;)
Dynamic pricing at food stands based on customer appearance?! Welcome to the Gonchar future!

Hey. I like that idea! All the hotties get free drinks. But not the trolls! they pay double! Maybe it will cut down on the troll population, and have nothing but pretty people in the parks. Also hotties trump fast lane!! NA! NA!!
And, I can feel the comments coming...I guess you'll be paying double then Timber-Rider. So, I will beat you to it!! LOL!!
I didn't do it! I swear!!
Wait a second, if all the hotties get free soft drink, there would end up being less hotties because soft drinks are unhealthy and lower the length of your life. If all the trolls get less soft drinks, then the troll population would be bigger. That'd be awful!
Didn't you know that Trolls drink their soft drinks at home? Usually in a mega pack! And. They also drink lots and lots of unhealthy beer, and some even smoke cigarettes or pipes, while they are scowling under their bridges! And, saying NAY! to the pretty people.
I didn't do it! I swear!!
Trolls are to trolly to talk to people. Everyone knows that they interact with goats. Know your troll history!
Tyler, that reminds me of a very good book that sits on my bookshelf...

This could also be used as a fastlane reference. Then the sad sneeches get premium fastlane! Then who is holding their nose in the air then!
One of my favorite old cartoons. The star bellied sneeches.
I didn't do it! I swear!!
You know, I did think of Fast Lane the very first time I saw that, although I don't exactly why.
Anyways, The Sneetches and Other Stories is one of my favorite books of all time, and it's for little kids even. :)

Hell, my two favorite books are The Stand and Green Eggs And Ham. Disparity much?

Ah, The Stand: one of King's best books ever. Still waiting for the movie version.
Something strange I've noticed at Dorney: not all the soda machines cost the same. I don't know if they haven't gotten around to upping the price at the less expensive machines or what, but some bottles are 3 bucks, some are 4. Also, even though the machines are supposed to accept credit cards, my card works in none of them or in ANY of the machines at the park. I have to go to a food window and get stuff that way.
Anyway, so I would not be surprised at all by five dollar bottles of soda (pop).

Last I heard, they were talking about a TV series based on King's The Stand. It sounds like an interesting idea to me.
Another kid's book that I have in my library, and I read at least once a year is the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. I have the Three Book Treasury in hardback. The old fireside ghost stories are so much fun, and have an historical nature to them as well because they were passed down from generation to generation. The ghastly illustrations in the book gave me nightmares as a teenager when I discovered the series.
...And Michigan's Adventure, and stuff.
