Michigan's Adventure 2003

I know this may seem a jump ahead, but does MiAdventure have any 2003 plans?
Yes...opening in May. ;) The only thing public is plans to stay open later in the evenings by installing lights in the off-season. Though it isn't a guarantee for 2003...it could be pushed off to 2004 if numbers don't figure like they plan on them to. I would put money on 2003 though. That seemed to be the talk in the office today when I stopped in to register for TimbersFest.

I've just seen the future...what was I saying?

Well, there was rumor from Mrs. Jourden-Mark last year that the hypercoaster was being put in 2003.

But when will MiAdventure get a S&S double or triple drop tower? Or Camp Snoopy, HalloWeekends, or even Summer Spectacular?

Take it from a Michigan's Adventure fan, our park kicks butt!!!

Well, sometime in the future, look for something big! With all that room next to Shivering Timbers, they gotta add something.

Like a B&M Hypercoaster!

Or maybe a B&M inverted out and back, that would be cool.

Good lord i hope not B&M...anywho's. As for Camp Snoopy, don't look for that anytime soon...but it is a possibility in the not so distant future. Halloweekends and Summer Spectacular I imagine won't happen until lights go in.

As for the "hint" to the hypercoaster, that was a dream and a plan of her fathers. CF has no obligation to build the coaster that he had originally planned for the park. CF can put in whatever they want when the numbers add up to the ride paying for itself with-in an alotted amount of time.

A 2 or 3 tower S&S will prolly be in the near future, but I have no proof on that. Valleyfair and Dorney both got one soon after CP put theirs up so I can only guess that we will have one soon. Ripcord is up btw. It's just waiting on the cable and some grass and concrete underneath it.

Why not B&M MI Trooper1? Just wonderin just one of the few who would not want one. So Michigan Adventure has no lights so it can only open while they have sun light. I didn't know that.
I do hope MiA gets something. Or at least change Corkscrew's station! Maybe they should keep it for the uniqueness of the ride!

Good Times!! Good Times!!

what...and lose the uniqueness of getting on a coaster in an above ground basement? long live the supment!

i'd rather see maybe a giovanola or intamin....

It would be cool to see an out and back Giovanola.

You can't spell my hometown's name with out "Lame"! aLAMEda...:) He...he...I have the feeling I'm the only one laughing...I guess you had to be there...

B&M Rocks!

Save the Station!

I think with Cedar Fair's current relationship with Intamin that it would be a good bet that they will build the hyper. I sure hope they do because with Goliath over in Europe, just imagine some of the stunts they could add to a true hyper.

But at the same time, why add a coaster that would be basicly the same as Shivering Timbers....up down up down. Sure it's great for the people that love airtime, but you have to mix it up. I think we could see a lot of overbanked hills and turns as well as helices.

According to your profile, you seem to know a lot about B&M hypers...

Yeah, but he's been on the Outlaw at Adventureland so its all good.

Excalibur Crew for 2002!

Maybe I should have explained myself a little better about my B&M comment but I didn't. My personal preference lies with what I have riden. I never said I knew a lot about B&M hypers, and I don't. Never riden Nitro, oh well. I do like MF though, Intamin. Magnum is high on my list, Arrow. So sue me. I like B&M's inverts, but the stand ups don't thrill me. I am merely stating what I like and what I wouldn't mind seeing or not seeing in this case. I mentioned a Giovanola because there are only a couple in the states. The chances of me getting on one are pretty slim, unless one is put up here. But what it all comes down to is this, CF will put in what they think will be a good coaster here, not what we all wish, dream and hope for. I'll be happy with whatever they lay down here. If it turns out to be a B&M does it mean I won't ride it? Heck no, I'll ride that bad boy, and I'll probably like it. I was just stating what I would like to see, not what I think it will be. And for being the second coaster that CCI built I thought Outlaw was pretty dern good.

I've never been on an Intamin or Giovanola hyper, but I rode Apollo's Chariot and was blown away. If Intamin and Giovanola hypers are just as good, it must be difficult for parks to decide. As for me living near Pittsburgh, If MA puts up a hypercoaster at all, i'll have to make a special trip. (Now that Shivering Timbers already has me itching.)
FYI: The only Summer Spectaculars that are showing this season is at Worlds of Fun (and this is it's last season, as confirmed by the park) and Cedar Point. Both Dorney and Valleyfair! have cancelled their's for the 2002 season. If I remember right, Meteor is where Dorney's screen was.

Kennywood is not owned by cedar fair. is it?

Nope, Kennywood is... well... not owned by Cedar Fair.

Well, whatever it is, a new coaster, hyper or inverted, B&M, Gianvanola or Intamin, i'm sure MiAdventure will do a good job with it.
