what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

More info and video, but still no pictures. They are having a contest to name the coaster as well.

No mention of a roller coaster in either link.

Read the artical

"Jenkins said State Fair firsts include Gov. Jennifer Granholm jump-starting activities with a ribbon cutting at noon on opening day, performances by the renowned Lipizzaner Stallions, the world's largest portable roller coaster and a bull-riding rodeo".

"Largest traveling roller coaster in North America." More likely to be NAME's (formerly Conklin's) Doppel Looping.

Is Wade Shows still doing the MSF midway?

I am pretty sure they are talking about the RC-48 they recently bought and repainted.

Yes Dave, they are still doing it. They have been doing it for as long as I can remember.

I was going to say, I would have thought the cost of shipping Olympia Looping to the USA would be prohibitive. But perhaps the writer considers the world to only consist of North America...

If it is the rc-48, it is listed in the wade shows web site.

RC-48s are just amazingly awful. It's too bad if it really is the largest portable currently traveling North America.

Never been on one. What makes them so bad?

Looks like a semi interesting layout.(no pun intended.)

I imagine it's the largest coaster currently traveling in North America, not the largest coaster capable of traveling in North America (which I believe would be Conklin's ride). I agree that RC-48s are terrible. Someone would have to pay me serious money to ride one of those things.

I think they are already setting it up, I passed a truck on I-75 with blue and yellow coaster supports a few days ago.

Anyone have an update on this? I'm curious to know what qualifies as the "largest portable coaster".

I drove by the fairgrounds on monday, and can now confirm that it is the RC-48 coaster.
