It's MiA, not MA, just letting you know.
Oh, so you're the official acronym designator? Whatever. Next.
By the way, topics that have something other than the park's name as a title would help us all figure out the point of the topic.

Isn't MA = Massachutes? ;)
(MI) = Michigan (A) = Adventure
makes sense to me!!! :)

No coaster this year...ask nicely and show up with a lot of friends and relatives, neighbors...you know, masses of people...and they just might put it up next year. You have to be nice though... ;) "S" will not be coming...or at least it's not what was in store 2 months ago. Who knows anymore.
And you know...whether it's MiA or MA...I'm thinking people will get the clue. It's not like they'd be thinking that something was missing in action or maybe even someones mama. Pretty sure when people have been around long enough, they just might be able to put together what the acronym might be....thinking here that the topic itself might give it away. :)

Can you get me more information on this, I'm very interested in park history. For example, the year it was put in, the year they took it out, layout, etc. thanks
I know they took it out in 1993-1994 offseason, since Zach's Zoomer opened in 1994. It's layout was in a square shape. The train started out where ZZ now stands heading for the parking lot. It made a 90 degree left turn towards the old entrance, [it' been completely changed] under the walkway bridge to get into the park from the entrance. It made another left trun going behind the ferris wheel and corkscrew. Where the mini golf is now, it made another left turn crossing the walkway to the waterpark. The train made one final left turn to the trains station.
I don't know too much about the dates, but RCDB has a little bit of info. http://www.rcdb.com/locationdetail50.htm
:edit: It took me about 5 trys to get my text out of the quote... AARRRGGGG.....

Haw haw...since when?Jazzland's often-anounced, never-delivered SLC would have cost $6.5 million ($4.5 for the ride, $2 million installation) if they weren't building on a swamp. The Deja Vus were about $3.5 mill per the Chicago Tribune...though I bet they wish they had doubled the price.
I bet you're thinking of an Intamin Impulse...like the $8.5 million beauty goin' up in my in-law's neighborhood.

Really? Would you like to link us to this Trib article? SFGAm rarely, if ever, releases the cost of their rides or attendance figures. The price for Raging Bull was never released. From what I heard Deja Vu was in the $8 million range, about the same as an Impulse. In case anyone cares, I heard Raging Bull was around $16 Million.

That's why my name is MiA Jon.
I think the no-coaster thing has been going around for quite some time now. It's official, we will be getting NO COASTER for 2003. K? Everybody get it? If you listened to the CF webcast I think they said that we wouldn't anyways.
As for the Schwabinchen, MiA may replace Trabant with it. Isn't Schwabinchen a newer model? Cedar Fair will NOT get rid of a ride like that, even if it isn't popular. Those rides are high in value, and they may be moved throuout the chain.
That's my input for now.
