michigan adventure question

does anyone know if michigans adventure is getting anything new for the 2001 season?
As far as I know, there hasn't been anything announced for the 2001 season. I remember a few discussions from this summer where folks commented that it would be unlikely for next year, but there could be something big in the works for either 2002 or 2003.

Have you tried their website at www.miadventure.com
Their website isn't all that great. MA needs to focus on key park improvements, benches, landscaping, food, etc... A huge attraction isn't needed for a little while maybe 2003. They are getting Go Karts soon according to the park map, also Be-Bop Blvd. probably a kids place.

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
i agree they do need a bigger selection of food maybe a sit down resterant.they could also use some type of show.
I think they need a new park layout. The layout is pretty much an "L" shape around the lake/pond. I think that they should make a square shape around the whole lake/pond, and fill the empty space around the lake with a couple roller coasters, some "exciting" flat rides ,and a sit down restaurant.

Just my 2 cents!

yes i agree, there is way too much open space in this park.it makes it look empty.

Let them finish their New-for-2000 attraction before moving on to 2001. Did anyone else not notice that Be-bop Blvd, their kiddie car ride never appeared, unless it was that sandlot between ZZ and Corkscrew (STS!). They got a lot of smaller projects under way (main gate, kiddie rides, etc.) right now that have stretched over a few seasons. I say finish those before buying anything else.

They have always been "lazy" when it came to getting new rides off of the ground. Even simple installs like The Flying Trapeze were not opened until mid to late summer. It is quite an observation of poor management. Good thing they are privately owned.

Everything "bad" or "lazy" or "slow" about MA is forgivable IMO, as long as The Timbers remains in operation, that is.

So you want a coaster in your backyard? I hope you have a big backyard.
The "kiddie cars" were done and sitting out behind the water park at the end of last season. I suspect they'll finish the attraction before next season starts.

I have to agree with Soggy: if they just keep ST running and the admission at $20, they don't need anything else.
yea- they are a little slow when it comes to putting in new attractions.while were on this subject does anyone know what there next large attraction will be.some say a 200 ft plus coaster, some say a s&s space shot.
I hope their next attraction is SHADE! They need shade more than anything.
I agree PointMan, they need some serious SHADE. I don't care if it is artifical or not...THEY NEED IT!

I'll take Roller Coasters for $200, Alex
That is one thing that I've noticed about their park. Maybe they're Anti-Foilage people.
