I think they might be better served to do some work in the Adventuredome before they go off and build a new project. That place was looking pretty worn and dated when I visited last year and there was hardly anyone walking around the place. Certainly more employees than visitors.
The last time I was there it was early Feburary 2008, there were some crowds but I swear there was a fight at about every corner.
The whole complex needs to be rehabbed. Especially the smell in Adventuredome.
Yes, water parks built in the middle of a desert are exactly what the local environment needs!
The entire City is environmentally unfriendly. The water parks are going to be (pardon the pun) a drop in the bucket.
Hey, the power is hydro, and on a river where that isn't going to cause the end of the world in terms of environmental impact. So there is that. :)
Isn't this the same city where the only remaining waterpark closed about 8-10 years ago? Just seems odd to build mutliples in a town where even one was too many?
Part of this trend in Vegas may be in response to what has been going on in Orlando. A lot of the convention resorts down there now have some pretty nice water park type features (lazy rivers, slides, etc) and perhaps Vegas is just trying to keep up with the Joneses, if you will.
Yah, the description doesn't make it sound very big.
