whats with SFO and CP not going along with any heavy inverters the past 5 years
The Millennium force is an awesome ride but i dont think its what they needed. they shouldve built a ******* steel twister along the lines of a viper on steroids

You're kidding, right? Why would you need another inverted coaster when you have Raptor? Have you even been on MF?

i meant inverters as a coaster that inverts you (aka loops cobra rolls corkscrews)
yes ive been on the MF and its the most amazing ride ever but i think that it wasnt time for a new hyper/giga coaster. Magnum, yes its 10 years old, still is living out its glory. Coaster enthusiasts and entertainment companies still rank Magnum as the best coaster in the world.
With a new ****** B&M or intamin LSM the park could have a better selection(as if 14 aint enough) of caosters. they already have the most amazing hyper on the planet(it may not be the tallest or fastest anymore but its still the best)
watch language *again* please, this IS a family forum

Ron G.. Have you ridden all the other hypers to form that opinion?
Also, the last two coasters CP has built have had tons O inversions...not a standard looper, but Raptor has 6, (I think) and Mantis has 4 inversions. I think CP was due for a non-looping coaster. Plus, the 3 overbanks practically count as inversions.

I was just going to say... I don't care what the park says, they sure look and feel like inversions to me!

OK, now picture CP with a floorless, B&M where the MF stands. With loops over the lagoon, fast turns, barrel roles...etc. Got it in your heads, yet? Now picture the overall revenue and hype. I think CP is way ahead of the game. Great move, CP!! We will get another inverted coaster within the next 2 seasons, I'm not worried. But, to ride this coaster breaking all of these records, with newly developed elavator cable lift, magnetic breaking, and non-inverted turns, with the popularity of CP in a year that has the most coasters ever built...C'mon, man, how the &*#@!& can you say that the #1 coaster of the year was a bad move?? (Notice: I know this is a family website, thanks for the edits Jeff and 7of9). RonG, are you just trying to get emotional reactions from the readers...or are you completely serious in your accusations??
BTW, again, great job, CP for, not only taking coasters to the next level, but taking us on the wildest, fastest rides of our lives over the years.

There's nothing like a woodie...
man i really wish i wouldnt have written that tpoic now. I write in order to discuss, not to take offense to CP. Dont take me wrong. MF is the best coaster EVER. i rode it and its absolutley amazing. Japan is building a coaster that out does(according to specs) MF as we speak. If they wouldve built somethying even more extreme than MF next year to top the Japanese thing that wouldve been cool.
Im in no way saying MF should never be built . i think it was just a year ahead of its time. the whole plan will probably work out, but no one knows CP plans for real so none of us have right to say whats the rifht thing to do. we only have room to talk and discuss what would be a way to go with things.
everyone has different opinions of what htey like and how to run a business. If i owned CP a crazy giga wouldve gone in next year ot the year afetr. thisyear i wouldve built a crazy twister steel of some sorts with many inversion (7 8 9 ) to break that record. made it very long and fast. The nthe next year follow with the baddest Giga ever 350/100mph. A couple years down the rode a boardwalf woodie classic and a Wooden twister(roar like) could be added to having the next generation of "BESTS in the WORLD" along with last generations "bests"(raptor, magnum, mantis(my opinion i luv it)).
I shouldve explained my slef fro mteh beginning so everyone had an idea of wher i was coming from.
Sorry if it all sounded offensive!!!not intended to be.as above CP deserves some large thanks for all the years of thrills it has provided
After feeling somewhat different about Batman at SFO, and completely overwhelmed with Villain, I now think more than ever that inversions are mostly unnecessary.
Regarding that fabled Japanese coaster, who cares? How many of us will ever ride it? Does it make MF any less of a ride?

Hey, I'm glad the Japanese will have their own gigacoaster. Maybe we could convince some of the people in the MF line to go ride over there.......
that way the line would be shorter for us;)
Does anyone think MF's line will reach 4-5 hours during the summer? Man, at this rate, I'll have to plan a 5 day trip just to get multiple rides.
it was bout 5 hours at AAA day and mid afternoon
right before the park cloased it was a t 3 hours!!
As Jeff said, I think CP needs another woodie. Then a launched looper...I have a pretty good feeling CP is thinking the same thing too.
Regarding the who cares statement about Japanese coaster. You guys do, since it seems so important that CP has all the records, which it DOES NOT.

Revolutionary, you have done it again. I just huckered my chewing tobacco all over the screen. The wit is just amazing!!! FLAT OUT...LOL!!! Please, tell me that you are over the legal drinking age, because to have a few with you when you come to Ohio, would be dangerous!
About the forum: Hey, MF is here, I really want to call it something else, but this is a family program, right Ron? It will be here for at least 50 years, it's not going anywhere. And that's the best part about it! They do need a WOODIE though, that's the truth!

BTW, I don't want to go to Japan, we have too much fun in the US with what we have!

MF was a coaster made for speed, not anything else. I can remember on magnum wishing it would go faster. (not that it is slow or bad). But now I will get my wish. No other out and back goes that fast. And for the next CP coaster make it a CCI woodie with airtime. I like airtime better than inversions.

Anyone who thinks a 300 ft. rollercoaster is a bad idea is off their pony.
Especially when the ACE members and every other coaster club member from media day had ranked it #1. Hmm...
