MF Queue Lie

Woah! I also disagree that it's pronounced Shiwaabinken. (That does sound like a good beer though)

I'm not quite sure exactly how to pronounce it (even after 2 years of German in high school) but I know it's not that. I guess Schvahh-bin-chen would be close enough though.

Although I'm almost positive that the official lazy pronounciation is Schwaby.

It depends on the dialect. In different parts of Germany, Ich may be pronounced "ick" or "ish". A news report on Nando last year on the spread of English said Austrians and Germans sometimes have to resort to English as a common language because their Deutsch differs so much.

Back to the temp queue question, with all the need for temp queue around the park this time of this year, I'm not surprised they dipped into their surplus just sitting there. Think about it, they've got all the Halloweekends extras, a huge construction zone that runs parallel to a midway, and a parts staging zone that needs to be isolated from a secondary parking lot, and the current resting place of Troika and Chaos (not sure if that one has temp queue or just rope to keep all of us out).

I really hate to derail this fascinating issue about MF's temporary queue rails, but what the heck does "Schwabinchen" mean???? We got a great lesson on German root words but never established the word's meaning. I could guess from the theme of the ride that it is some kind of dance or something.

Schwabin G en, is a region in Germany. I don't know where the h*ll 'Schwabin CH en comes from, but it doesn't mean anything according to my book.
Btw, if i had to pronounce that last, nothing meaning word, i guess Jman had the best description.
Ok, i'll try to break the first word down in phonetic englisch. The 'w' isn't turned into a 'v', the letter 'a' is pronounced as the 'au' in laugh, the 'ing' is pronounced as in 'thing'.
