Yesterday I went to CP and was going to ride the MF. And I was thinking, is the MF really up to what people say it is? Personally I dont! What is your opinion?

How can you say Millennium Force isn't good when you didn't ride it...

It's a fun ride that's quite a rush. But once again CP fans have overratted it so much that I couldn't help but be disappointed. I agree, after the first drop it doesn't do much but let you feel it's speed for 60 seconds, but maybe that's the point. Magnum on the other hand, is all that, a bag of chips, and a side of sugar babies. Trip report coming soon...

Too much is simply NOT ENOUGH...
After the hill thats it??? You must have been riding a different coaster. What aboot the return hills where you float for 5+ seconds? What aboot the 5 foot hop that slams you from your seat? What aboot flying out of your car over helpless scum waiting in line on the last turn? What aboot the crazy speed? The music? The tunnels? The extremely banked turns? Did I mention the speed? Its 6,000+ feet long for crying out loud! Dah, I give up. If you did experienced The Force like I, (and I thought everyone else in the world did too) you would have experienced something that you will never forget. Good night.

Millennium Force is a big rush. When I saw that it was going to be so short, I was a little disappointed. When I stood in line for it people would come back hype as hell, and I am thinking, "No coaster can be that good." Magnum didn't even make me scream and holler that loud. But after I rode it, I see why they were yelling. The whole coasters is high speed. Though it doesn't have as much airtime as Magnum or Shivering Timbers but when it gets that airtime, GAWD do you feel it.

You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.
If you don't like it, that's your business, but the public in general loves this thing. I haven't been on another ride that offers continuous, unadulterated speed like that. Even if it was "just" a 300-foot drop, so what?
Sure, I'm a pretty loyal Cedar Point fan, but give me a break. That doesn't cloud my judgement when I go to other parks. Since riding Millennium Force, I've been on Apollo, Bull, Alpengeist, Raven, Legend, etc. You know what? They all live up to the hype. Which is better? Beats me, I try not to compare rides that give such drastically different experiences. To do so borders on coaster snobbery.

I'm not trying to start a war here but,i have not yet ridden MF either and, from what i have heard from various people, you either love it and think it's the best or, think it's Just Great.I myself love going through some inversions just as much as i love intense airtime. It seems like we all forget we are entitled to personal preferences.MF doesn't have every element that i love so,i probably won't say it blew me away and is the best coaster in the US.Are you all going to bust my chops about it? I respect that all the Cp fans here think MF is the best and,it's understandable because it sits in what is alot of people here's home park.I will undoubtedly think it's an awesome ride but, until the day a coaster has every element that i love(Probably never happen),i will never say i have a single coaster that is my favorite.I have quite a few rides that i could ride a million times but,i can't say any of them outweigh the other in my personal preferences list because almost all of them deliver something differant for me.

I totally agree with everything that Christopher Peeper said. And if you say that you got more of a buzz from Raptor and the so-called #1 steel coaster in the world, Magnum, then odds are you didn't even ride Millennium Force.

How many coasters come into the brake run at ~65MPH? After 6500+ feet of track that's pretty insane. You have to give MF its props, even if you don't think its the best.
Did you pass out to enjoy only 30 seconds? MF is so much something different that I will never compare other rides to it. I could do nothing but laugh the first ride and for about ten minutes after that. That ride makes LOTS of people very very happy. There may be more air on other rides, but like was said before me, you feel it like on no other ride! It's just different, the best roller ride there is.......
You have to give MF its props, even if you don't think its the best.
And i most certainly will when i get to ride it but,(p_c_r,It's just different, the best roller ride there is.)for me to say it is the best coaster there is would be unfair because i cannot state that and speak for everyone in the world.

Amen Jeff and Thank you! I am glad i am not the only one who thinks this way.

If you don't like it, don't ride it. One less person to wait for. I love it when people say they don't like MF.
Who said they didn't like it? Once again, you guys jump to the defensive anytime someone says MF isn't their #1. I like the coaster, but I was disappointed, period. I actually thought the speed of it was great, but something was missing for me(a good layout perhaps). Would I ride it again? Sure, but I like Magnum(and even Wildcat) better. It's funny how you are allowed to express disappoint in almost any other coaster, except MF. Judging form the reaction of others riding, I know people generally love it, I thought it was a good rush, but not a great coaster.

Right on man. I hate it when people ask "which coaster is better", especially when they couldn't be more different. I always say neither, but I PREFER one over the other. People ask me what my favorite coaster is. I say: "Whatever one I happen to be riding".

Personally, I dont think MF gets enough hype, it is one of the best coasters in the world and one of the only where you are going fast all the way to the end.

Doesnt get enough hype? Are you serious? MF is probably the most talked about coaster. Also it being on CP property probably boosts that hype much more.
