Just think: some day even you may no longer be 'fringe'! ;)
Heh. I'm already not.
The kid that parents hoped never showed up at the door with their daughter is just a middle-of-the-road and unoffensive goofy dad in these times. :)
Oh my. Those Pat Boone songs. Good for him... but those should be labeled under 'comedy'.
At least when Johnny Cash did a bunch of covers, he kept the style (and made them sound great!)
I think those Pat Boon cover songs are cool as hell. Thanks for sharing.

I remember this from World's Greates Roller Coaster Thrills in 3D...
Here's a cool model version of it too:

^Thanks for posting that, scraperguy99. Look at all those great colors mixed!
I was going to mention Richard Cheese yesterday, and knew that someone else would before I got back to posting here today. lol I prefer his music too. He doesn't take it seriously, and that's the biggest problem with Pat Boon's stuff.

I always preferred Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine to Pat Boone's stuff.
Thanks for posting that as it solves a mystery for me. I was in Vegas a couple of years ago and saw the Amazing Jonathan. Before the show they were playing this lounge version of 'Rape Me' that I thought was amazingly funny. I meant to research who sang it, but never did. Now I know.
No problem. If you ever get a chance to see Richard Cheese live, do it; he puts on a very funny show. My wife went to the restroom during his set. Acting as if she was being extremely rude, he asked our table (over the mic of course) where she was going, in the middle of his version of Radiohead's Creep. Unbeknownst to her, he had followed her into the ladies room (perfectly timing the "what the hell am I doing here; I don't belong here" lyric), grabbed her hand and led her right back to our table in front of the stage. Laughter abounded (and my wife's face turned about three shades of red).
