Mechanics

I have a huge park with over 30 coaster but when one breaks down the mechanic that gets the call is on the other side of the park. and it takes atleast 10 minutes for him to reach the coaster. Is there any way that i can keep the mechanic closes to these coasters so guest dont get mad about down time and i dont lose alot of money?
Set their patrol areas. Look for the little blue footprints.
Make sure the footprints connect to the exit of the coaster. If you have two station situation have the footprints connect to that entrance too.
I use a simple method to keep my park clean and my rides almost always running.

Set each handyman to patrol 2 or 3 footprint areas, and do that with the whole park (unless you reach your limit of employees). Hire a few extra just in case.

Hire a mechanic for each ride. Set their patrol area for one ride and one ride only. Rename the mechanic the same name as the ride but with capital letters (Flying Carpet would be FLYING CARPET). Do this for all your rides but don't hire any extra mechanics because it causes problems. Hope it works, it works for me.:)

Good idea on naming mechanics to match the ride...as for the patrol feature I already use it for my mechanics as the last step taken before opening a new attraction.
here is another good tip...use 8cars per trainer....and make the rides new every couple of months and make them reliable...that prevents them from breaking down as much!
