I am not sure about this. I was excited a few years ago about SimCoaster and that was a disappointment. It was either the gameplay or the graphics that I didn't care for. Also, I am not to keen on the graphics on the new Sim City. This may be the first Sim City game that wouldn't buy. I am an "old school" gamer that's content with the isometric graphics of the earlier Sim City editions and the original Roller Coaster Tycoon series.

Have the problems with the new Sim City been resolved yet? It was a mess when the game was first released. I'm with others who are not so happy about having to always be connected to the internet to play. Is there a reliable hack to disengage that limit yet?

No the problems haven't been resolved and I haven't bought it. The cities are too small and not as customizable as previous games, and I expect that most of the parks one would build would end up looking the same because of an extremely limited set of rides and stuff you have to choose from. Also, I have utterly no interest in playing online with other people or having to be online to play it.
I agree with the poster above, I'm still not done having fun with RCT2 and Simcity 4.
I received it as a gift for my birthday. I played once and haven't returned. I'm not happy with the performance, gameplay, nor graphics. Too bad. The trailers really had me psyched.
