Martin's Fantasy Island turns 50

Families have been coming to the Grand Island theme park for 50 years, something owner Martin DiPietro wants to celebrate this Saturday with a 50th birthday party.

The title of this sounds kind of dirty....

Will he be dressed in a white suit with a short side kick by his side saying to everyone who comes through the gate, "Welcome to Fahntisy Island."

Martin's is a strange park. The old section really does look like it's 50 years old, and not in a bad way. The main ride midway kind of looks like a carnival company plopped down a bunch of flats a few weeks ago. That area definitely needs a charm injection.
