*First TR* After about a 4 hr. drive from Pittsburgh, my family arrived at Martin's at about 1:30. First thing was to take the train and get a view of the park. The train was nice it went right around the back end of the park and went right through the Silver Comet.
After the train we strolled over to the CCI woodie. My mom had an ACE shirt on. After some discussions with local folk. I hoped on the next to last seat. A very good medium sized woodie. Nice airtime. Good laterals. This ride kept its speed throughout the whole ride. Jumped back in line and took a seat near the front. Not as good, but still a good ride.
We then strolled down the midway. My sister and I hoped on the patriot. I would call it an old school style Aero 360 but an enterprise type car. A very different ride. Then over to the Wildcat, a Schwarzkopf wild mouse. About a 20 min wait, the longest in the park. What was different to me was that they had sandbags in the bottom of the cars. That was weird. Then strolled over to what looked like a ghetto log flume. Low and short. WOW! At the bottom of the drops somehow the water came up and just hung over you. This was the wettest flume I've ever been on. After jumping on the ferris wheel(can see Niagara Falls up there), there was a slight t-storm that came for about 20 min. We ran in the arcade and I was happy to see they had items with the park name on it for prizes. I got MFI postcards, frisbee, and a big pencil. After a quick ride on the Orient Express coaster and a stop in the gift store we set out to Buffalo.
A couple random things: All the employees had cool red Hawaiian shirts on. I was glad that the gift store had patches, pins, shirts, and keychains with the Silver Comet and the park on it.
Overall we had a great time and would recommend stopping here on a trip to Buffalo, Niagara Falls, or stopping there on the way to somewhere.
Were planning to visit Martins somtime this summer. I hope we have a good time like you did. Maybe minus the T-storm.;)
------------- Hello, My name is Dan and I'm a coasterholic.
How was the Wildcat? It looked very sweet from the highway. The CCI looked fantastic too, how did it rank up to other CCIs?
