The tower will be 116 feet tall and is of yet unnamed. Also, Fantasy Island will be open seven days a week this summer; before, they were closed on Monday.

The Buffalo News brings you the story at www.buffalonews.com.

Sounds like the Chance Slingshot. I'm a little surprised, because the ride had a pretty bad reputation with the folks at IAAPA in November. The model they had in the dome spent most of its time not operating.

I'm not sure of Chance's quality control, but the Chaos at SFA didn't work very well either at first. It seemed to be having problems with its sensors. It took about a month before it was consistently working and even then it had problems from time to time.

We had a Slingshot at the Ohio State Fair. It gave a good ride but was down the rest of the day after 3:00pm. Chance make nice rides, but their latest have been so quirky with the computers. The Inverter, Avitior, Choas and now this. They need to get back to the drawing boards and figure out how to make some of these rides not so comuter dependent
Does anyone have a link to a picture of a slingshot?

Cool Another Freefall style ride. Doesn't it overlook Niagara Falls.
They need to bring back the Devil's hole...that ride was the best. I'd pay full admission just to go on that all day.
