Mars Snackfood US and Six Flags, Inc. announced a major expansion of an existing sponsorship agreement, naming the manufacturer's products as the "Official Candy" and the "Official Ice Cream Premium Novelty" for all Six Flags Theme Parks in the country. During the five-year agreement, Mars Snackfood US will have exclusive marketing rights for all pre-packaged candy (both sugar and chocolate-based) for in-market promotion and in-park advertising on the Six Flags Media Networks.

Next year, Batman and captain Feather-Sword will be marching with an M&M in the Glow In The Dark Parade.
Here's To Shorter Lines & Longer Trip Reports!
I think the distinction is in the phrasing "ice cream novelty". Draws a nice line between regular ice cream cones, etc. and the candy-bar ice cream products. One that is being exploited "sweetly" by marketing. Good move all around, I say...
It is a good move that could help the chain out a lot. I just can't get over titling the Frightfest as "Snickers Frightfest" though. Snickers is not very scary. Sound kind of goofy.
When it comes to names and themes, a lot of decisions made by the amusement and theme park industry sometimes do not make sense. They have lost direction. Snickers is happy and in no way makes me feel fear.
The two (SF and Mars) make a good couple though.
