Thanks in advance
Well that's creative marketing, I guess. Maybe they hired the Six Flags people to write it?
...the highest tower in the world is obviously the one located on the Stratosphere in Las Vegas.
Marineland's been known to do that... they play with words for creative marketing. The same thing is with their Dragon Mountain steel coaster... "Largest steel coaster in the world!"
You know what? It sure is... why? Because it encompasses over 30 acres of land. It's not the LONGEST... it's not the TALLEST, it's the LARGEST.
The triple tower can be seen from as far away as Downtown Buffalo, on a clear day... it's the only structure in that area that sticks out, so it's definately well defined!
It was constructed very late & slow last year, so they never had a chance to open it... not to mention that they failed to get the proper permits to open it on time, just like the PileDriver Zamperla shot/drop tower on Clifton Hill, so it has to wait for the 2004 season.
It'll be interesting to see how one will get to the top of that 150' hill to ride the ride, because that's quite a hike up. I'm sure it's not going to take you up with a moving sidewalk aka: Jetsons... and there'll definately be a sloped exit for the handi-capped, but I'm betting the initial climb to the queue will be stairs.
I sure can't wait, but I'm a little disappointed that they didn't bother to paint the color what was advertised in their '03 broschures & website: black & orange. It's basically a white tower from what I last saw.
I don't think they're shot/drop combos, but I could be wrong. I think 2 are drop & 1 is a shot... (again, I'm probably wrong)
