Marineland ??'s

I'm going to Niagara Falls for a casino trip this weekend, and am debating on whether or not to go to Marineland on Saturday. I haven't been there in ages (15 yrs), even though I'm in NF every other month. I have ridden DM, but don't really remember the park, or that coaster, being that spectacular. Does anyone here know if there have been many changes to the park? I don't really remember a whole lot of rides being there. Is it worth the $30 (2 people) for a few hours? Any help or info would be greatly appreciated!

The last time I was there was in 1986. I was considering going this year too, but to my surprise found out that there really isn't much new since the last time I was there. This park needs some new rides desperately. I've always wondered if it is in financial trouble....it's not advertised much in my area like it used to be.

"Everybody loves Marineland!"

Sorry, that commercial jingle has been in my head for the last 5 years. As for your trip, I agree that DM is nothing spectacular, but I'm sure if you like Marine life you'll find plenty to do.

My two favorite coasters are named Superman.

If you're only going for a few hours and not the entire day... you should find plenty of things to do for the entire day.

Just keep in mind that they are more of a marine-orientated park and not a rides-orientated park. You'll find essentially the same rides with the exception of about 4 different additional one. All no big whoop, however... Dragon Mountain is definately worth riding, even if it is a 5-mile hike from the gates to there!

Just be sure to catch all the marine shows... they're all worth it, and it's what makes the park good (not great until they fill in the large empty spaces with more attractions)

I remember hearing about an expansion for the park 2/3 years ago. Whatever happened to that? This park has great potential. (and TONS of room)

Thank you muchly. I'm not really into all the marine life stuff, but my better half certainly loves all that stuff, so we'll probably end up going. Thanks for the insight!
