Cool. This coaster has intrigued me since I saw it in RollerCoaster Magazine about 17 years ago. I hear it's pretty boring, but I still have a strong desire to ride it some day.

Theming is nice, but the ride? Meh...

Love the park nonetheless, but DM....well....there's not much *coaster competition* from PCW....;)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

I'm hoping someone will have regular updates on this. From Accessniagara.com/blog, they may keep up-to-date... otherwise I may have to make a trip up there in early May to check out what's new...

...but it's about time they do this. They have the money now, considering all they say that they were going to invest into the park. A face-lift for a 23yr old coaster would be bliss. It may not be that marketable... but if they put other attractions there, it'll be sweet.

...you take this, add in the new Topple Tower, and you have yourself a park that's SHAPING up to be a pretty fun time. Yea, they need another major ride like a new coaster or wet ride, but they even have a rocking tug & didn't know about on top of the nice drop tower, it's not all that bad (except all the walking. You should be able to rent golf carts there!).

20 years? Isn't this about the time most bigger arrows are removed?

Not that it has to be if maintained, but, well, nevermind.

Yeah, but this one's an "Arrow-Huss"
Yes, but where is the ROI for finishing the theming?
well i think the ride kinda looked like "junk" seeing just an empty steel frame... if they want to really change their image and make the park look real nice (it seems that way w/ all the expansions that have planned), i think finishing the theming is a great idea.

Who needs ROI? They're starting to get quality rides with the new Topple Tower & Sky Screamer... as well as other new rides in the near future with their focus starting to gear towards thrills rather than marine-life (due to the unfortunate deaths of a lot of whales there as well as the changing economy of the Niagara Falls area)...

...so it's about time they update & upgrade it to the way it SHOULD have looked. They said originally they were investing some $160 million into the park for upgrades in three phases... well, a small small chunk of that being used to upgrade Dragon Mountain can go a LONG ways in re-marketing the ride for broschures & adverts on TV since the theming can be now shown proudly & not just the same ol' pretzal loop.

If you click here... you will see that even more of the volcano is coming along. I'm quite excited for the park... despite it's age, it's going to be one of the best Arrow loopers out there. I just wish they'd put a couple more lights in the cave because on a sunny day, you'll smack your face right into a rock wall after you enter it.
