Mardi Gras section at Six Flags Great America will miss opening day

Six Flags Great America's new Mardi Gras section will open about two weeks into the park's season. While the park will open for weekends-only operation on May 1, Mardi Gras is scheduled to be open on May 14, when the park begins daily operation.

beast7369's avatar I wonder if the whole section will be closed forcing a U shaped traffic pattern or if one will be able to proceed through the area but just not able to ride the rides in that area, Kind of like they did with V2 and Deja Vu.

Guess we will find out in less than 3 weeks.

I hear they have special events for the graduating NAVY peeps for the family, and of course navy graduate themself, anyone know if this is true?

I'm not sure but it seems logical due to the fact that there is a naval base nearby.

It seems as if everyone is having problems getting new rides and attractions open in time.
