Many Dorney Park Updates!!!

Boy, there sure are a lot of updates today for DP. First, they have a completely new site up and running. Check it out, it's awesome. http://www.dorneypark.com

I'm going to get my season pass tomorrow, I'll let you guys know what I think of the slides. By what I know, 5 of the 7 slides of Patriot's Plunge/Wildwater Rapids have been put up. I think (I'm not totally sure on this one) all of Jumpin' Jack Splash is up too! There is going to be an update on the slides on Monday on http://www.ckcoasters.com which also has a new fresh look to it. Check it out!!

The new in 2003 page has been updated. There will be new concrete, landscaping, and shaded areas added. For Halloweekends, is the new Doctor of Doom 3-D experience and more!! Some have known this already, but a new show at the Hercules plaza is new too for Peanuts fans.

We're down to 27 days until the park opens!! I can't wait!!

On Patriot's Plunge, two guests at a time challenge each of three tubing slides from atop a 51-foot-tall tower. One slide is red, one white and one blue, and each is a combination of enclosed aquatubes and giant slides to offer an unpredictable journey that ends in a big splash.

I also do not like the new site. It has a good layout, but there is way too much flashy stuff. Too much Flash and Java... the site is slow for me on a cable modem! I also strongly dislike the main navigational menu; it just gets rediculously large.

As for the Patriot's Plunge slide, there is one huge slide complex of 7 total slides. One part of it is Patriot's Plunge, which has 3 slides. The other part of the complex is Wildwater Rapids, which has 4 slides. Jumpin' Jack Splash is a separate complex. Hope that clears things up.
