The devil is in the details, especially with a devilish roller coaster such as Manta, which officially opens today at SeaWorld Orlando. The ride features a head-first, flying position to rattle riders and a soothing aquarium/queue stocked with hundreds of its namesake rays. It's a big-time attraction, but what about the little things?

I'm a fan of flyers so I'm excited about this one. Definitely making a trip to SeaWorld this year.

^ Agreed.. The stupid Sub-Tropical Low, that decided to spiral over Florida for 5 days, didn't hinder the media event much either.
I posted some of my thoughts and photos of the ride in trip reports section from those days if anyone cares to read. But Dewayne Bevil was spot on his article about the ride (even though some of it came from the groups).

Anyone else catch the rider say "Alright, that's it." after the pretzel loop? After that he said, "We'll just glide now."
What a Debbie Downer.
Hopefully I can get down to FL this summer... Manta looks like it has a great environment around it.
finally rode manta. two thumbs up! the pretzel loop is intense. the rest of the ride has good speed and is just fun....if you like flyers. great cut away effects too. and the queue line is something else.
