Man making a 3 month trip to ride every coaster in the U.S.

There were no internets then either Ensign. :) Without RCDB, I don't know how anyone could do it.

That's a very good point.

Its amazing to think that there were more than a few parks out there of which there is almost no information remaining today. There are probably even some that came and went, and that have left no trace whatsoever of their existence.

Anybody build that flux capacitor yet?

Since we're all throwing out personal longest trips, mine would be from last summer when I did Coney Island, SF Great Adventure, Dorney, and Lakemont in a 4 day span. I even threw in a tour of the Yuengling brewery in Pottsville PA (oldest operating brewery in America) between SF and Dorney for good measure.

This summer it looks like my only "trip" will be to Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens VA. Possibly going to try for SFOG or Dollywood, but that's yet to be determined.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

Checked his blog now and his start is not very good. Missed 2 coasters and moved the visit to the first six flags park to the today.... Sounds like lots of troubles ahead. Wonder what his count of coasters that he wants to hit is and will be.

The longest coaster trip I have made was a 10 day trip in 2003. Built around Holiday World's SRM event, I ended up meeting a few of the crazy nutters from this board during that time. The schedule below included drive time.

Day 1- Six Flags' WoA
Day 2 - King's Island
Day 3 - SFKK/Holiday World (SRM)
Day 4 - HW (SRM)
Day 5 - Indiana Beach
Day 6 - Michigan's Adventure
Day 7 - Cedar Point
Day 8 - Kennywood
Day 9 - CP
Day 10 - CP (Coastermania)

Originally I had a 14 day trip planned that included Lakemont, Knoebel's, Hershey and Clementon. Budget restraints being what they were, I had to shave it down to 12 days, and then again to 10.

So glad I did. I was truly coastered-out by the end of the 10 days, so much so that a planned side trip to Idlewild on day 8 prior to KW was nixed so I could rest (was still very jazzed to visit KW, though). I thought I would need 3 days for CP, but ended up doing all the coasters on my first day there due to early rain keeping people away. I got two rides on TTD on day 7, which was great because it broke down later in the afternoon, not to reopen for most of the rest of that summer.

Tiring? Yeah. But I'd do it all over again if I could. Last year I finally got back to The Point and KI. This summer I get back to HW. Can't wait to re-visit KW in '12!

They Live. We Sleep.

Ensign - Just for you.

Ooh! Ooh! I gotta get me one of those! Then I can take a quick side trip to Japan and pick up some stray plutonium...

I did that Yuengling tour on my way to Knoebels last year. If you keep following that road Yuengling is on, it takes you to Shamokin.

I'd I were going to ride every coaster in the US I'd have done it by now. There obviously isn't any demand to support me though.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

If that made any sense it could be mildly amusing.

Hurry, its the Japanese...
Ensign, where did you get that plutonium?
"I tradded it for some old IPhone parts!"

In a shiny bomb casing? ;)

For a minute there I thought you had contributed a haiku...

Nice, Gator. I thought of the same clip, I was just too lazy to link to it.
