I heard somewhere that the Mamba was supposed to have 2 or 3 tunnels, where the bunny hills are. Is this a rumor or not?
Quite possible, since it's "sister" coaster Wild Thing at Valleyfair! has them. I think the bunny hops on Mamba are more intense than on Wild Thing, but I highly doubt the tunnel has anything to do with that. I like the tunnel, but I really have no preferance.
By the way - Wild Thing glows in the dark when in the tunnel. I thought that was pretty cool.

Steel Force at Dorney Park has the tunnels on it. It is very similar to Mamba. The three rides seem to be of the same basic layout, with minor variations according to the individual park. All three are Cedar Fair properties.
Mamba does not have tunnels. The press release stated it would but the tunnels were and early budget cut when building.
