Making your own scenerio

I tried several times to make my own scenerio on RCT2. The first time just didn't work for me. The other times, I can't play my own park. I get an error message that says (exception raised, access violation, error location unknown) can anyone figure this out? I don't know what I'm doing wrong. One of the amount of money is $10,000 & The game lets me make a loan of $100,000 or $300,000 or $500,000. I don't know if that has anything to do with why I can't play my own park. has anybody else tried to make there own park & can't play it?

are you putting racing woodies? like Grand National or Colosus? I've had that error happen a few times when i made my own park and tried putting one of them...

I'm trying to make my own park on RCT2. I posted the error message it was giving me. How do I make a park playable? What do racing coasters have to do with how may park works or not?

that was the same error i got. i made a park, saved it to the scenarios...
went to play it, putting in rides and such. it ran fine until i put i Grand National, and i got that error...
froze the system bigtime...
rebooted, tried the same thing w/collosus and it errored out again...
I don't know what causes the errors, but eventually, they went away, without a patch...
i've tried to recreate the error, but it doesn't happen...
so, it may fix itself... god only knows how...

I've had similar problems when using the giga coaster in my scenarios.....the solution is simple.

Just don't select the giga coaster as one of your coaster types in the editor & the game shouldn't crash, now I've created racing woodies before & dueling mine trains (Arrow hyper coaster track)& havn't had any problems with the game crashing at all although I havn't tried creating any mobius circuit racers yet.

Is there a patch for this problem (the error) That I should have?

Where is it if there is one?

Racers and Gigas have been known to cause the error trapper to go off. Usually this happens after youve built one then close it,modify it, and then retest it. Opening the ride without retesting or not synchronizing trains on the racers helps sometimes.

Your other crashing problem could be caused by some custom scenery if you are using any when creating your senario.

I'm still having problems with my park. I made 1 park & I'm only able to make 3 small rides & then my money goes out. I start out with $10,000. The loose it after 3 rides. Then it gets worse after that. How do I keep my money from dropping fast. I have a loan of $500,000. I can only get $10,000. So I made another park. I maxed the loan out of $5,000,000. I only get $10,000 again. In this park I'm only able to make 1 ride then emediately drops to -$23,000. I tried to play it again but was only to make a short path then my money dropped to -$23,000. What am I doing wrong? Shouldn't I be able to have what ever amount of loan I want? The money for the park doesn't go any higher than $10,000. I just lose it very very fast. What do I do to fix that problem?

I'm very confused.

Don't set the existing loan at 500,00 . Set the loan limit to 5 million. The game will only let you start with 10,000.

You are starting with 10,000 cash on hand AND 500,00 ind outstanding loans. So after you make a few rides AND you pay interest on that outstanding loan you are immediately in debt and unable to get out.

to the best of my knowledge, there was no patch for RCT2.

I've got a simple solution to your money problems...in the editor under the finances menu simply select "no money" & then under the objectives menu select "build 10 roller coasters with an excitement rating of 6.00 or higher".

That's about as close to a sandbox mode as you can get & it allows you to simply start building your park any way you see fit without fear of losing money, now of course you should plan ahead when using this method & make sure you have enough room to build those 10 different coaster types if you want to successfully win the scenario. *** Edited 11/6/2004 5:32:28 PM UTC by BATWING FAN SFA***
