Earlier today I went up in a Cessna 172 and flew over PKI. There is a Bunch of patches where there are no trees. I saw some objects back there but couldn't make them out(black boxes). Just a notice. Well, behind the Racer and between the fireworks launching pad and the helicopter pad there is a group of shipping containers used for plush storage. Behind Vortex, though...that could be interesting...

I think the ride type is still up in the air unless you spotted track, because anything could be in those boxes. But I sure do hope that what will come in 2002 is a roller coaster!

was it a large or small area?
They seemed circular or patches with rounded edges. I think the black boxes were for the fire works but I'm not sure. When I mean behind The Racer I mean behind Action Theater area. They seemed to mainly have a diameter of about 50 yards or so...it's hard to tell from up in the air. Sadly they were close enough to The Beast that if it were for a coaster that started back from the KCKC site it would go over top of it.:( Unless it went around...who knows.
