Magnum Repainted

Looks like Magnum is finally getting a paint job.

This should finally put a rest to weither it is red or orange: looks like the big boy is red ;).

I just hope that they paint the silver as well.
I'm confused. Isn't the structure already silver?
I'm saying repaint the silver. I think that it would look kind of dull if not repainted.
nah, they're just going to paint half of it this year.

Seriously though...have you ever painted a room in your house? If so, did you paint the ceiling after you painted the walls? Not if you're smart...you can get drips of white paint on the walls.

You paint the highest part first - in this case the track (ceiling), then you paint the lower part, the supports (walls)...

"Workers at Cedar Point have begun repainting Magnum XL-200. The track is being painted a new, bright orange color - Moly Orange."

You hear that? not red...orange!

Can we just say it's orange-red? Is that still a color in the 64-crayon Crayola box? (with the sharpener of course) lol.

As long as Magnum runs as smoothly and blissfully as it has in the past two years they can paint it puke green for all I care. :-D

Does anyone know if they are painting the silver structure too?
^Umm, did you read any of the previous posts?

CP is painting all of Magnum.

I can't imagine having to paint an entire roller coaster structure. That sure would take an extreme amount of time to do so.

I'll a little stumped as to where that picture was taken. I don't remember magnum coming that close to Dragster. Can someone kinda give me a perspective here?

For example say : Put your back to the onride photo booth and look towards ______ or something like that.

It's the part of the track that crosses over the midway as the trains leave/return to the station. I have a feeling that you're a little confused because with the lack of vegetation you can see angles you usually can't over the summer.

Here's a similar angle taken during the summer. Magnum Hot Shots would be to the left, just out of camera range.
