Magnum Mania 9/7 2000 + 47

P>ONT face=Verdana size=2>At 4:15pm I was on the Magnum lift for the 2000th time since May 17th 1997. Combined I got 64 laps on Magnum, one insane Vertigo ride, three on Raptor and two on Blue Streak to visit Richie. /P>
P>There is no real reason to talk about the details of today's MM nothing new to report.
P>I just want to take the opportunity to thank a few people;
P>Jeffrey Spartan for the shirt he had made for my 2000th ride, it said Mr 2000 on the front and the back said "plus I was on the disocery channel."
P>Everyone in park op and marketing, supervisors, team leaders and everyone else who have been so kind, generous, and carring over the years.
P>Jerry for the Magnum lighter he gave me tonight, and the countless memories on Magnum.
P>Mr. Edwards for the coaster video and the original Magnum press kit from 1988 in MINT condition.
P>The Magnum crew memembers from the past five years that have put up with me.
P>I would also like to thank Jeff Putz, without this little website he started I would not have made the great friends that I have made. Also due to this site I have gained a ton of extra media attention and attention from the park that I would have not gotten in the first place so I do want to give Jeff a very special thank you. Jeff has spent countless hours working on these sites and he deserves a ton of credit and thanks.
P>In the next few weeks I will write a huge mega TR about the 2000th ride. /P>

Yep, I talked to Dan in line for Vertigo, lol, I asked the other guy he was with what do you think the new coaster is going to be for next year. Dan said "He knows but won't tell me, he is being a punk!" :)

I got 10 magnum laps without getting off, easily would of done more but VertiGo was free after all... :)

Holy bajeezus. That's INCREDIBLE. I think it's safe to say that, someday, in enthusiasts' homes all across the world, ACEers, Buzzers, and coaster freaks in general will show their kids videos of the great Dan Haverlock and say, "Look kids. You can be just like him when you grow up!"

Dan, you are a hero to those of us who aren't fortunate enough to get on their favorite ride (<cough> Nitro <cough>) every day, week, month, or even sometimes year. Congratulations, and here's hoping for 3000 really soon!

3000th ride -- ETA: May 20th, 2003 (just a guess...)

man, 2000 is a lot. Obviously :) I was there that day, too, I was on Magnum from 4:30 to 6 or sometime around there. I rode 21 times in a row, that was pretty sweet.

Yeah, way to go Dan, it was great to great to share 2 of those 2000 laps with you!

I agree with you that Jeff desivers a big thank you for all that he has done with the web site.
Even at this time of grif that American is going through right now.I like the special Forums that has to do with the Tarest atacks that had been going on.And how American's can share thier grif with each other.I am proud to be an American.
