Perhaps it was a dissatisfied guest looking to get a refund on his parking fee the easy way?

The only thing that suprised me after reading the article for the first time, is that we dont see this more at various parks. It wouldnt be that hard at anypark to pull this off. The toll booths are the furthest thing from the park, and the closest thing to a get away. They usually have a lot of money I'm sure because they are just collecting cash like crazy. Even for a park thats not Six Flags where people are just paying 8-10 bucks that still adds up very quickly.

I wonder if this will open up parks eyes a little more to get cameras out there (which I think few parks have if any? Anyone help me out on that one?) or to have security stationed out there or even one of those under the counter silent alarms. I'm sure booths pretty much everywhere at least have a camera on the cash register to prevent employee theft.

What surprises me is that of all the places this could have happened, it happened at Magic Mountain. As I recall...isn't there a local sheriff's office or police substation located IN the parking lot, DIRECTLY ACROSS from the toll booths at Magic Moutain?!

I have to admit that the crime was ingenious. ;) It just might spark a bunch of copycats.......forcing Six Flags and other parks to lower their parking prices.

^ If anything, it'll 'cause for Magic Mountain (and all Six Flags parks) to upgrade their security and surveillance equipment as well the way large sums of collected money is handled and stored. Those four punks never should have gotten away so easily with a crime like that.
