Magic Mountain park guide and X photos added to Coaster Grotto

Posted | Contributed by Grant

X looks very close to opening and it was being tested with two-train operation, although there was a crain behind the first raven turn on my second visit.

Nearly 40 pics of SFMM's 15 coasters have been added as well as full reviews of the park and coasters including Deja Vu.

Nice photos and nice review. One of the few good reviews of the park I have read in awhile.

I agree with this person. I love MM and I like good reviews once in a while. I really hope this opens soon. If it opens by Fright Fest, OMG, I will be totally happy because I'm going! Yes!! Hehe, well, good job, as always.
This is only one of many good reviews I've heard of Magic Mountain in awhile. I like the layout page of the review.

Great job Grant ;)

The only thing I don't like about the park is that it has got too many coasters, IMO. Roller coasters built in the last few years:

1997: Superman: The Escape - Intamin LSM
1998: Riddler's Revenge - B&M Stand-up
1999: Canyon Blaster - Junior Coaster
2000: Goliath - Giovanola Hypercoaster
2001: X - Arrow 4th Dimension
2001: Déjà Vu - Giant Inverted Boomerang
2001: Goliath, Jr. - Junior Coaster

Yes, Magic Mountain has an awesome coaster collection, make no doubt about it. I just think that it's time for Six Flags to work on flat rides for the park. Also, Six Flags should be adding other coasters to their smaller parks (SFEG, SFAW, SFKK). Year after year I see Magic Mountain getting new, world class coasters, and nothing is done to other smaller Six Flags parks.

"Lookout" it's NITROGIRL!!!

How could you say MM has TOO many coasters!!??? Thats what makes Magic Mountain so popular! How can you call yourself a coaster fanatic if you think a park has too many coasters??!!! I'm not trying to sound rude or anything, I'm just suprised that anyone who loves coasters could say that! MM is an awsome park!

Just one other thing here:  it's stated in the review that B:TR "is the only inverted coaster to date to feature two vertical loops."  What about Montu??

Otherwise, fantastic site, fantastic review.  Keep up the good work.

Let the world know your Top 10 Coasters at http://www.coastergrotto.zzn.com

Yeah SFMM does get alot of coasters but, its in an area that had about 5 million people and in a state with about 34 million. Also there is another couple parks in that area called, Knott's Berry Farm, Disney's Califronia Adventure, Disneyland, Universal Studios and to an extent Sea World. And they have to lure the guests out into the middle of no were 30 milies from LA. Thats why.

SFMM line cutters are the braviest in the world.

dont forget about that little gem called THE GIANT DIPPER at BLMONT PARK todd.
