There's a sure-fire test for fear of heights...it's the front row of X-Scream on Strat.

I failed...but they had fresh underwear in the gift shop... ;)

HaHa I'll have to try that next time I get out to Vegas.

I think I'd rather gamble with one of the casino games...that thing....yeesh!

X-Scream is definitely not for the faint of heart, or even for an intermediate enthusiast. For those that aren't familiar with it - imagine riding aboard a giant skateboard, in a small individual seat with a lapbar only, with open sides, diving forward at nearly 35 mph and stopping within 3 seconds at the end tip of a teeter-tottering small-gauge track that hangs out and OVER the Las Vegas strip over 950 feet in the air.

To get the maximum effect of this ride, you must take in the front row, no questions about it. It's about as white-knuckled as any ride in the world can get.

*I* won't even ride X-Scream, and I'm not afraid of heights. But there is just something about that ride that scares the crap outta me!

I have family and friends who do not enjoy coasters. Most of them do not like is the negative-g's on the drops. I still have a friend a little angry at me for telling him Tower of Terror didn't drop all that fast or that much. He was in sheer terror the entire ride!

So that ride will cure my of my fear of heights. I love Roller Coasters and Love Thrills. Being scared of that ride is what makes it even more appealing to ride. *** Edited 5/17/2006 3:33:19 PM UTC by TonyBlackjack***

I was just going to suggest X-Scream, but then again I don't see where the fear is. ;-) It's pure bliss! The little "drop" if you could call it that, did take me a little off-guard though. Woohoo!

Someone who has a fear of coasters and especially heights may not want to hang out with me. They will be traumatized for life.......
