If those ARE new trains for Flashback, they still have horsecollars...
I was just out there on New Years day. Of course Flashback was down.. So was Psyclone. but I couldn't see any signs of construction. I was just wondering where they are going to put these new coasters at.
The do have a ton of land but I didn't even see any site prep, and I even looked aroudn real fast while at the top of Goliath, Viper, and Superman and couldnt' see anything.
The site for Deja Vu is boarded off, so you can't see much. The site for X is right above the bus parking lot, so chances are, unless you looked from the top of Viper's lift hill, you missed it.

i didnt mind them keeping flashback closed for so long. i only ride it about once a year, which is how long it takes me to remember how painful the last ride was. last time i was at sfmm (i week ago,) the only construction i saw going on was a newly paved path
going under viper with cars going back and forth. i couldnt see anything from the top of the viper lift hill.
I don't know what you would think you would see, construction hasn't started yet. I was talking about cleared land and markings, that's all that has happened so far.

hey i work there and to tell u those are old trains and we are removing the horse colors thats why they are out, and we redid the front. We might get new trains with the lap bar but we are probably keeping those. The one thats on now is with the horse collor untill we are finished with the two trains which hopefully by this friday. Than we will work onn the one thats working right now. we are only doing this with the horse collor to make sure everything is ok with the ride
Glad to see it finally open! I love the ride.

DITTO!! GREAT pics! I am glad to see Flashback going again. I rode it when it opened at Great America. What an interesting ride. FYI....it was Intamin's prototype, and to this day (after 15 years) is the only one sold. Intamin still offers it.

Isn't it a safety hazard? The thing is right by the water park and with it doing, you can't hear anything in that wave pool. Citing SFO? Maybe someone should look at SFMM. Not hard to move that thing, either. I'm amazed they haven't.
Not really, the waterpark is closed for the winter. They've got to run it sometime, why not now?

i can almost hardly believe they can build not one, not two, but three rollercoasters in less than 4 months....kudos to SFMM for being the badass of thrill parks on the west coast!!!
I CAN'T WAIT TILL APRIL!!!!!!!!
ok flashback is a joke,, I mean,, Im from Illinois,, I live down the street from Great America,, Magic Mountain is cool and all, but I think they threw in flashback just to have the most rides,, I mean, cmon, that ride is old!!!! It was at Great America in the 80'S! and it wasnt even that big,, I didnt get to ride it though.. How is it?
