Magic Mountain & Knott's over spring break

I'm taking my 3 budding enthusiast kids to Magic Mountain and Knott's over spring break (the week after Easter) and am worried about crowds. I know it's not the best time to go, but we really couldn't find a better time, schedule-wise. Any advice on how to not have a miserable time. We will have season passes to Knott's so I'm not as worried about that, but we will have exactly 1 day in Magic Mountain and while only Wonder Woman and West Coast Racers are new to me (and the 3 kiddie coasters, which I never got), the kids have never been to either park and will probably want to ride as much as possible.

MM priorities:

X2, Tatsu, Wonder Woman, WCR, Twisted Colossus, Full Throttle, S:TE, Goliath, Riddler, Apocalypse

Is the right approach to do X2, Tatsu, WCR, Apocalypse, then Wonder Woman?

Does X2 typically open on time?

For Magic Mountain, purchase a BB gun at a nearby sporting goods store and make John Candy take you on all the rides.

Don’t forget to throw Knoebel’s in there.

I think it's stating the obvious that you should look into Flashpass at SFMM. It's been a while, so this might not even be true, but in the past FP was not valid for X2, and they sold individual FP for X2. So even if you don't get the whole park FP, perhaps look into X2 only. The queue can move quite slow. (Perhaps it would be quicker/cheaper to visit the Home Depot down the street and stick your head in the paint shaker. Same experience.)

I honestly could do without x2 (have ridden it on 4 different trips now), but I think some of the kids might want to try it. Ponying up $70 /head is probably not in the budget. Rooe dropping absolutely is, though.

The first time to SFMM, it opened an hour late or so.

The second time, it never opened (but tested).

The third time (see second time...)

Our last visit earlier this year it actually opened, on time.

So our solution will be to just get seasons passes and stay an extra day. The cost of a 1 day ticket during spring break is exactly the same as the cost of a season pass, so...
