Lynet, new Gertlauer launch-looper now open

Farup Sommerland in Denmark have just opended "Lynet" their new Gertlauer launch coaster with two inversions.
I think that this is a very good layout for a compact, medium sized launch coaster.

The first sketches had a racing theme, but now its all "log-car-cabin". The setting looks very RCT3. Another diversion form the plans: It has OTSR instead of the planned lapbars.

(As a bonus the film features footage of "Piraten" the Intamin teeny-hyper which also opened in Denmark)

Thanks tricktrack! :)

Lynet looks fun and the theming is pretty cool(although changing from lapbars to OTSRs is...well...ya know). ;)

Piraten, that looks like IT is the ride worth travelling to Denmark for....the last US non-inverting Intamin was WAAAYYYY too long ago.

Looks really fantastic, I was completely unaware of this coaster before you posted this.

I have to say those mega-lite hypers look like ridiculous fun in a small package. Might I dare say more fun than some of these $20+ million dollar Intamins (3 of which reside at CP - not that I've ridden Maverick)?

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Cool.

Now we know what Mall of America's Nickelodeon park's next coaster will be. :)

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

Did they license their track design from Intamin?

THANK YOU for the post - two GREAT videos. Hopefully some US parks will install them soon.

Tom
