Lots of DCA news and a sad Perilous Plunge update

Posted | Contributed by James Disney

Did you ever know (or care) that the Hyperion Theater is stage #29 in DCA? What about info on California Screamin' finally taking on its first riders? Also, another DCA note for Thursday (today), 250 lucky Cast Members from Disneyland get to ride the Sun Wheel as a part of ride load/unload testing and capacity testing today.

Knott's is also in the update as well. Sad news on Perilous Plunge and its possible fate... check it all out at westcoaster!

Great photos! Plunge looks amazing to see even from the ground without people in it. I never thought a flume, even one that big, would be that cool!

I hope they don't take it apart. That wouldn't seem very smart. Does anybody know what problems they have? As for the dripping in the article, that's pretty typical of any log flume or shoot-the-chutes. I was suprised that anyone would complain about getting wet before a ride which will get you completely soaked.
It sways BIG TIME...if they don't fix it, the ride will literally TAER itself apart. (tear is spelt wrong on purpose, paying respects to RRC).
