Why anyone would want to ride the Lost Coaster more than once for the count is beyond me.

-Nate

I loved that thing. It's so unique and unpredictable. Can't wait to ride it this year since some of the track has been reworked. The park has even restored and installed some new stunts on the ride and fixed the mountain back up. From what I understand, the ride will continue to be updated with new stunts over the next couple of years. That park is an absolute blast. I cam't believe some people would even say anything negative about such an orignal style park atmosphere. HH is fast and fun, while Cornball is arguably the best woodie in Indiana. What a grand place that park is. Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you there and put faces to some of these god awful screen names.

Lost Coaster is much more ridable this year, Nate. The GP have given a good response to the ride. I waited on a family recently and the 2 young boys said it was their favorite ride in the park. Two thumbs up for Dynamite Willy.

We were there a weeek and a half ago and I fell in love with this ride all over again. The new themeing is really great. The ride is a little tamer too. Dynamite Willy is da bomb too :). If you look and listen carefully going up the lift, there is a very special surprise too. Ib is doing a fantastic job with this ride.

If the lines weren't always longer than I'd like, I would wait for this ride over and over again. I never like rough rides, but it was better termed....as "unpredictable." :)

Heck, even if Lost Coaster is not "your thing" that is a completely AWESOME event schedule!!! Rock on, IB! I hope they have a terrific turnout and this event becomes tradition. :)

Indiana's always seemed to me like a funny place for coaster heaven, but *I'm* definitely NOT complaining.

Like I said Dawn, I can't wait to go! I want to see what kind of breakfast they are going to have with the taco stand.

Short of rebuilding the entire ride, there was no fixing the Lost Coaster I rode last summer, *easily* the very worst roller coaster I've ever ridden. There wasn't just one problem area, or even one basic problem with the ride. The trackwork was rough, the turns are too tight, the drops are too steep and too sudden, the cars track like crap, riders ride too far off the track causing the cars to shake like mad, etc. And it's not just me, either, as I watched the woman across from me get hauled off by paramedics due to a concussion she suffered from the ride's beating. This ride is an absolute piece of crap. I know IB was not happy with the ride last year, and I'm glad they're adding theming and fixing up the mountain, but I honestly cannot believe it's even legal for a ride to run like that.

All that said, I do love Indiana Beach and visit at least once each summer. I feel terrible that the park ended up with such a piece of junk on their hands. Even though I love a park, though, I have no problems saying something negative if I feel something is majorly wrong.

-Nate (who thinks if Thrillerman really thinks Cornball is the best coaster in Indiana, he has a lot of arguing to do)

I'm ready Nate. But if you read my post again, I said it is arguably the best woodie in Indiana. In another thread on this site about Silverwood, I mentioned that I don't like to rate CCI coasters against one another anymore because I think they are ALL great rides. As a matter of fact, people who know me call me The Raven's #1 fan because of how many times I have made the 6 hour drive to Santa Claus from Akron Ohio. The Raven was the first coaster I had ridden in over 30 years that completely blew me away. I had ridden other CCI coasters before the Raven and thought they were all great rides but that coaster sure was something special.

Now, a few years after the Raven, and with more recent CCI coasters under my belt, I found myself shaking my head after first rides on coasters like Zues, Shivering Timbers, Megaphobia, Rampage, BoulderDash, Villain, Ghostrider, Legend, and Cornball. I didn't want to displace my #1 Raven from its perch. I decided that All CCI coasters were potentially #1 rides on anybody's given list at any time including mine. I now call the Raven my SENTIMENTAL #1!!

This is where this gets fun now. You may not realize this, but a couple of the engineers from CCI have told me that they think Cornball is the best coaster in the state. Now who am I to argue with them. Actually, one of them is a buddy of mine, and we laugh about the Adam's Family coaster all the time. You have to admit, for its size, it blows away coasters twice its size. That ride is great.

Nate, I think you should take a ride on it this year. I did not ride it last year, but I rode it just a few weeks ago, and it was fantastic. Yes, it tosses you around, any coaster should do that, but it was nowhere near the painful roughness that your speek of. I could have riden it all day, I loved it that much. They say they did a good deal of track work to it in the off-season, so maybe you should give it another shot before passing judgement. Some coasters get bad with age, and some get better.

They've taken my Dorney Park from me and I want it back!

I loved it last year. It was awesome how it threw you around, I even smacked my head on one of the polls that hold the netting.....thank god this was after they put the black padding over them. This year however it felt so tame, it felt alot slower with more braking and it crawled through the first floor.
