Losing Scenarios in Loopy Landscapes

Hi,

I've played rct for a year with no problems. I have RCT and the CF/LL expansion. A week ago, I noticed that when I stop the game and restart it, my completed LL scenarios disappear and it looks like I haven't completed any of them. All the others stay intact. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times, applied all the patches, even loaded it to both my prefered location and the default location. Same thing every time. I originally had it on Win98 - that's what I had when the problem started. I just upgraded to Windows ME and nothing changed. I checked the FAQ and tried everything I could find. Emailing support got no response. I only heard about trainers today, so I don't have any of them. Can anyone help?
Be sure that you have the official patch installed. You can get it at http://www.rollercoastertycoon.com/test/downloads/patches.html and hopefully that should help. I haven't had any problem with Win ME running RCT with the patch.
I did get the official patches. Funny thing is, the game worked fine till a week ago, then boom. Nothing else changed that I can tell. I'm stumped.

The same thing happens to me. I thought I was the only one. When I uninstall and reinstall, they come back. As soon as I quit the game and start it back up, though, all the LL scenarios are lost.

Any help out there?

I have found the problem, though I don't understand why it's happening or how to fix it. The problem is the CSS0.dat file in the data folder. I reinstalled - patches and everything and checked against the back up I had made. EVERYTHING was the same - EXCEPT - the new installation has NO CSS0.dat file. I run the game - scenarios are there. I play a while, save and close the game. Restart and scenarios are gone. I check and CSS0.dat is there. I make a backup of CSS0.dat and delete it and restart game - Scenarios are back. If I start the game with the CSS0.dat file in the data folder, no scenarios. If I delete it - scenarios. I just discovered this, so I have no idea what happens when I complete more scenarios - do they stay or am I stuck with this list forever. I'm totally clueless why this file appears to be working backwards from it's original intention. If anyone can shed light on this, I'd love to hear it.
I FIXED IT!!!

It is the 001 file. I copied the new 001 file from the cd, right clicked and went to properties. If you only click off "read only", you still have the same problem. To fix it, click off read only, then click on archive. I'm not sure what the archive choice does, but it was my hubby's suggestion and it worked. I opened, played, saved and closed the program 3 times and it recorded my progress.

thanks to everyone for your help!!!

Susan
