Lose your stomach on drop or launch

I was wondering who still loses their stomach on launches or drops on coasters? Last year on V2 I lost my stomach practicly throughout the whole ride, but the launch doesn't make me lose my stomach anymore. On Medusa, the first drop always gets me the first ride of the day, but after the first ride, I don't feel it anymore. How about the rest of you?

It's impossible not to "loose your stomach" and have that tremendous "butterfly in stomach" feeling when riding Xcelerator as it takes off from the loading platform.

Losing your stomach is what helps create the airtime sensation. It's the reason I prefer Woodies and hypers to Steel Loopers.

Thank You for challenging TOS: The Ride. We hope you enjoy the rest of your day, here at SFCB.

I still loose my stomach on rides that give great airtime and sometimes any ride that I have never been on. It was really weird, during my trip to SFMM last spring I was more nervous riding Goliath than X, therefore I felt more butterflies in my stomach on Goliath. Anyways, there are still a few rides that really get me like Raging Bull, MF, Gemini, Magnum, and a few more.

Cedar Point-America's Roller Coast.

It's really weird, I don't usually ever get the butterfly sensation in my stomach anymore. I used to get it all the time, but now all I feel is coming out of my seat. The last time I got that butterfly feeling was the vertical accent on Hypersonic. Another weird thing is, that I never feel one bit of nervousness on any ride anymore. I remember sitting on the far outside on my first ride of X and the guy next to me was practically crying, and I never once had a second thought about riding it. Three years ago there would've been practically no way to get me on X. It's not quite as fun when there is no scary build up to getting on rides, thats why I can't wait for a 400ft complete circuit.

All 6 times I got on Goliath I never lost my stomach. On X's drop I didn't lose it but I did lost it once we flipped.

I lost it on S:TE's launch, RRV's drop, Viper's drop and Revolution's drop.

Definately American Eagle's first drop, I don't know what it is, but at the very top in the back seat my stomach just goes haywire, it's the greatest moment on any woodie I've ridden.

The rides that got me to loose my stomach was Nitro the drops, Chiller the launch, Skull Mountain the drop, Lightning racer the drop, Medusa after the zero G roll, this carnival coaster got me really bad on all the drops called Mach1. Those are the only ones I remember and I haven't ridden a drop ride yet but I can't wait until I do. Most flat rides get my stomach the Huss top spin, the inverted pendulmn type ride called fire ball, and some water rides. I like that feeling but don't get it as much as before.
Ya, carnival rides get my stomach and Medusa's zero-g roll does definately.

I think it is the angle of descent for first drops...........like on Millie........it never gets my stomach, but on like a Galaxi or Corkscrew or something it gets my stomach.

I've never noticed any great loss of stomach on Tower of Terror (Australia's S:TE type ride). Only reason I ride it is for the speed, for the crazy positive g's, and of course, the graceful 5 seconds of pure freefall - especially with the lapbar nice and loose... just tilt your head to the side and look down to the ground, and watch as the ground gets closer and closer.

However there is one ride that never fails to do it to me - Wipeout... the Vekoma 'Waikiki Wave Super Flip' at Dreamworld. Think of a twisting Top Spin - ie, the two arms spin independently. Its first usual move is a fast and hard spin to the very top, stopping quickly. It is amazing - so smooth yet utterly violent (some think it borders pain - not me though :)).

So what if the best coaster in Australia is a second hand Arrow?

I still lose my stomach on launches and Vipers drop at SFGADv.
I love the feeling... different rides give different sensations in the stomcah. Variety is the spice of life, I suppose.

HypersonicXLC's launch is the only thing that gets me.

I have become imuned to that sensation ,but going backwards somtimes gets me, the worst sensation of lossing my stumich was on Rebel Yell at PKD, I was sitting in the front seat of the backwards train,(the seat where no one is sitting infront of me),and it was going over the crest real slow, and then all the sudden all heck broke loss ,and I was out my seat, screaming like a girl with no stumich for awhile, it was so much fun yet scary becuase I havent got that feeling for such a prolonged period in awhile!, Meanwhile on Hyper Sonic I got nuthing, you know what it is, if you fight the feeling your going to get it or if you dont know when to exspect it, but if you go along with the ride like many of us do, you dont get it too much, becuase ur going with the motions of the ride. Oh yea,and a drop that got me was alos on MF that drop is so steep I dont think anyone can avoid it,also Superman Ride of Steel at SFA got me on the second drop.

I like having my stomach dropped than getting launched, in fact, i really don't even like launches unless they are powerful like V2 is not an intense launch to me, but Rock 'n' Rollercoaster is a very intense launch so I love it.

I am proud to say my homepark has 3 B&M's, soon to be 4, hopefully.;)

In the back seat of the train and going through a loop backwards like on a boomerang or a shuttle loop always makes me lose my stomach. Its great.

The only time i lose my stomach is the first 2 times riding the ride, after that, its nothing. But on drop rides, its great every time :-) Titan at SFOT got me the first time, all the rest of the times, nothing but it is made up by the very intense helices.
It happens to me on the first drop on Raptor and the Demon Drop. Those are the only ones.
