Looping Bobsled

take a looke at this pic... it looks like the bobsled goes upside down in that loop see? http://rcdb.com/installationgallery494.htm?Picture=1
It doesn't really look that way to me since I used to ride that ride all the time and I know that it doesn't.

Where do you see that at?

It definately positively doesn't even come close to going upsidedown... and that's a fact.

That was relocated to the Great Escape, and I've been on it a number of times.

...not to mention the danger of a bob-sled if it ever did loop, since nothing technically holds the bobsled in the track except the far sides.

Proud to be an American!!

what he saw was another coaster, a steel one with a loop.....he must have confused the bobsled with the steel!

That is the Demon with the loop. Rolling Thunder and Demon were right next to each other.

Yeah, you can see the track turn at the top.  But I agree, it does look like it goes upsidedown.

I saw that picture a few days ago too, and I couldn't believe my eyes, so I spent a good 2 min staring at the thing until I finally saw that it turned.

I'm so smart :)

Intamin2k, I did the same thing.:)
It look likes one of those hybrid type coasters. that mixes rc track with another type track like a water ride track.. I think buzzsaw falls is like that.,, but anyways i know they havent mixed a coaster with a bobsled yet. but i wouldnt doubt it if they did come up with that.
This looks likes it could be like one, I know its not. Its a severe optical illusion and it does look like its all one big coaster/bobsled mix type ride..

elevated track in the sky is the only way to fly.

It is demon that loops, the two are indeed next to each other..

Is that bobsled ride any good?  I've always wanted to try one of them but have never encountered one.
It is perfect trick photography. I think the picture is cool, because it really does look like it has a loop, unless you already know it doesn't or you study it carefully.

That's funny that y'all think Rolling Thunder goes upside down or that this picture was doctored. It's the Demon which is next toRolling Thunder. It's not doctored silly rabbit!

Yeeee Haaawwww!
It should be possible to have a looping bobsled, but speed calculations would have to be right on target or tragedy would result.  Not likely to be seen anytime soon.  I do really enjoy the longer bobsleds though, and am a little bummed they seem to have fallen by the wayside.

The speed calculations would be no problem -- but what happens in the case of a mechanical failure? Oops :)

A bad day at Cedar Point is better than a good day at work.
I do agree about the picture, it took me a minute to figure out what was connecting where.
