Looper Now Rolling at Knoebels

Yep, I know Moosh. When I saw that picture on the that site it reminded me so much of the one I used to ride when I was younger. I don't know if they all looked the same, because the eagles on the sides of the cars look so familiar. I don't know if that's my old homepark in the pic or not though. Too long ago.

The cars would rock back and forth within the frame along those curved runners. You'd be able to rock almost as far up and back as the canopy, so that was a pretty good swing. There was only one belt across the whole seat to hold riders in place. And it wasn't even a car type seat belt that latched, it was the chain and loop type that reached the width of the car. There was no slack, no tightening. I guess there had to be a lap bar of some kind although I don't remember it.

Anybody else here ever rode one of these? I miss them, they were a load of fun.

I think I know the site you're talking about, Moosh, that has the old film footage-- they're like clips of 10-20 seconds. How do you actually get to view them? I get a frame and a description of the clip, but can't find a way to download or view.

All too often the news we usually hear is about a park remving a classic attraction. It is great to see a park actually restoring and installing a great ride from the past. I can't wait to see it and I hope my stomach is able to tolerate it!
This looks like a fun ride, but I'm stillllll itching for a new coaster. It's going on 7 years now, I'm starting to become impatient :(. Oh well, I still have the P/T combo to hold me over until the day comes.

7 years is not a long time to wait for a new coaster. People are spoiled by modern themeparks. It's just like little kids at Christmas. They're life will be complete if only they had toy x. Then they get toy x and after a month or so they're bored and want something new.
