Looney Tunes: Back in Action.

LOTR dark ride? That sounds about as much fun as a Matrix 4-D motion sim ride!
I suppose after being subjected to Looney Tunes Movietown at SFA for a couple of weeks in a row, it was a way to get it out of my system once and for all. My local reviewer in the Baltimore Sun (who tends to be the nicer of the two) gave it 3 and 1/2 stars, while People Magazine gave it one star. I think my review would be somewhere in between. The movie is crazy, and is quite fast-paced. Everyone of the Warner Bros. cartoon staple characters is in the movie, some, if only for a brief moment. The surround sound is probably the most intense I've heard in a movie yet. There was one scene where a cell phone rang, and before I could look over to see who was answering it, I soon realized it was on the screen (the ring tone was the WB theme:)). While the movie definitely has it highlights, don't miss the section at the Louvre Museum in Paris. I thought Brandon Frasier was fine, but Steve Martin's character was a little overbearing.

By the way, in the previews, they had a trailer for a movie called Southpole (I believe?), featuring Tom Hanks doing the voice for a computer generated human boy. The animation is photo-realistic. It doesn't hit theatres until late 2004 though. *** Edited 11/16/2003 11:15:46 PM UTC by Intamin Fan***

That trailer/teaser was for The Polar Express directed by Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, Back to the Future, Cast Away), adapted from the famous children's book written by Chris Van Allsburg (Jumanji). The release date is scheduled for November 19th, 2004. Tom Hanks is the voice of the Conductor and the "Hero Boy".

I Really don't think that Six Flags would have any rights to use this movie. While they can use WB Cartoon Characters, I'm sure they would have to work out some sort of seperate agreement to use the Plot and other characters within Back in Action.

I Doubt Six Flags will actually have rides/attractions based on this movie, unless they worked it out with WB.

Coasterbuzz is about the amusement park industry. That includes Looney Tunes which are part of the Six Flags stable.

Get the picture?

Does that mean we can talk about "The Cat in the Hat" when it comes out in the theatres too? After all, it is a Universal property. I think I get the picture.

Anyway...

You can win a trip to 3 Six Flags parks through Cartoon Network which is using this new movie in their sweepstakes.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.
