A written by Amusement Buisness and posted by Jack the Ripper on Rec-rollercoaster newsgroup states that the park will not open till mid June due to the extremely wet weather we have had.
I know this throws a wrench in many peoples plans, (Expecially SRM weekend)

Americana (Now called The great americana amusement park at Lesourdsville Lake) is opening in 2002. Indivdual visits are very improtant to the parks survival.
I don't know, I just seen a post saying he called Lesourdsville Tuesday and they said memorial day.
I would hate to see the park not open on time but a park that opens is better than one that dosn't at all.
I can honestly say that the article mentioned the very wet weather we have been having, THIS IS TRUE! It has rained about 4days a week for the past three weeks.
The article is posted on Rec Rollercoaster on Google.

I know the park is aware that many people are interested in visiting the park that sunday after SRM. Hopefully they will be ready.
Chuck,
I have talked with the park a few times and didn't post this earlier because I wasn't sure if I should or not, but last month they had told me it looked as if they would miss the Memorial Day weekend projected opening, but anything was possible.
If you look back at past post regarding this topic you can see that I kind of mentioned for people not to get their hopes up. Thanks for posting this. Hopefully people won't get too upset but they have to realize that stuff like this can happen.

I myself am looking forward to this park reopening and am glad to hear that they are not just going to open the gates and go. I am sure there is more to re-opening this idle park than greasing the tracks and firing up the grills.
Does anyone know of any parks that have closed and re opened like this. Just curious.
Hats off to the Couch's and the Pugh's and you will have my support, even if it is a long drive.

Sean, Thanks for replying.
They did mention that the may 25th start up was very tentative.
